It's a constant battle for those new photographers deciding to purchase gear. Here are some comments we offer:

• Choose the camera based on your needs, more than the technology or the price.
• DSLR used cameras are easier to come by, and their prices tend to be a bit less expensive.
• DSLR cameras have great battery life and depending on the brand, a broader lens selection.
• Mirrorless cameras tend to be the newest tech and have updates you can perform on them, making them a lot more technologically advanced.
• Video: if you are planning on shooting lots of videos, don't think it twice and get a mirrorless camera!
