Loving and merciful God,
We come before You today with heavy hearts as we remember Your servant, Deputy Devin Jaramillo.
He answered the call to serve, to protect, and to stand in the gap for others. In his courage, he reflected Your own heart, a willingness to lay down one’s life for a friend.
Lord, welcome him into Your everlasting peace. May the light of Your presence surround him and may he hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Comfort those who mourn his loss, his family, his friends, his brothers and sisters in uniform. Hold them close in their grief; renew their strength day by day. Let them feel Devin’s legacy not only in memories,
but in every act of kindness, courage, and service that continues in his honor.
Grant us the grace to live with the same compassion, the same sense of duty, and the same love for others that he lived by. And may we find hope in the promise that love is stronger than death, and that in You, Lord, we will be reunited one day.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
