What a “birthday photoshoot” with me looks like.

1. If PARENTS or PARENT aren’t in the session, THEN I DON’T WANT IT.

2. I don’t have props, but i will always go out of my way to help create something truly unique for you and your family.

3. This isn’t just about our birthday girl, but about the love that mutually created the most precious babygirl so that she in return looks back at her 2nd birthday pictures and sees the love that will now and forever continue to surround her.

Sessions aren’t about props or location; the goal is to place you in a setting that I KNOW, will bring out exactly what your family dynamic is like without forcing or over directing so much and instead, allowing everything to flow so naturally.

Because every family deserves their story to be told in a raw and authentic way. Messy and all!

*Last slide was the idea i pitched to momma.
I wanted a personalized portrait of little Rylee sitting in front of a lake holding the two balloons that represent her birthday. Why and how did i come up with that?
Because the moment the ideas began to flow, i instantly knew exactly the perfect location that would bring this session to fruition and i needed the personalized portrait to look as close as possible to the location in mind.

And well, SHE NAILED IT !!

From getting ready to the “I do’s” and those emotions of:
WE DID IT!
That finger just feels a little heavier,
The words flow out your mouth in disbelief : “husband? Wife? WHAT?!!
The tears, the laughter, the joy.
The mistakes that were made, the mistakes that were stressed on, but no one, not a soul caught.

Why? Because, dearest future bride and grooms, NO ONE cares about the mistakes, or the candle that was left behind, or maybe even the one prop that you thought would make a difference on your wedding day… NO ONE cares!

But EVERYONE cares about those first glances as you walk down the aisle, the vows shared and the smiles that hold a million words and emotions of pure love.

Your guest are there to love on you, support you, cry and laugh with you, drink with you, dance the night away and witness yet another miracle of love of two people who get to start their new forever !!

Take in your day and truly take it in; because it flies by so fast and it’s a day worth remembering and cherishing all the days of your life.

Yall have no idea the beauty of these galleries & posts that are coming up next.
Please bear with me as i figure out HOW to create a reel out of this.

Just a debriefing so you all understand wha one gallery entails:
This breathtaking momma, booked me for a birthday session for her babygirl (who i am HEAD OVER HEELS FOR, but that’s a topic for another day).
Mom sent me an inspo of what she had in mind annddd well… that inspo was very much tied in with a setup that has gone viral and many, many, MANY photographers have been doing.

Now, if you know ANYTHING about me is that, although i appreciate those viral setups and find them to be extraordinary.. i will ALWAYS lean towards something more unique, more personal and special for my clients.

Everything has a hype and thennn kind of dies down.
I aim for you to have something that no matter how many years go by, your session will remain timeless and meaningful TO YOU and your family.

So what did i do, i pitched over my idea, mom said YES!
Trusted my blindly😭
And well, off to hobby lobby we went.
Also, had some help of my incredible aka hero and soon to be bride who is an artist and lent me a couple of things to make this setup dream A REALITY!!

Fast forward, once the ideas were flowing and the props came together, my heart already knew the exact location I’d be using and soon enough you’ll understand why!

This is the part where i leave you in a cliffhanger anddd you’ll have to wait and see because words can’t describe how STUNNING THIS WAS.

Guys! You have no idea what it meant to have mom, pops and babygirl step into my world of imagination and see what was building in my brain and see it come to fruition, upfront and in person.

A motherhood series (& I mean ALL of them) that felt more like a creative session rather than a 15 minute mini.

To all my mommas that showed up,
Gave their all,
Trusted the process,
Followed the outfit inspos,
Arrived,
Let go (and truly let go),
To the moms that embraced the moment, laughed and even cried..
To the moms who once again, selflessly went out of their way to choose CHAOS, prepped their littles and rushed to these sessions to capture these fleeting moments— because truly these are things only us moms would do!!!

Mommies, YOU made this happen!
YOU, deserve all the praise and you are sooo incredibly loved, seen and appreciated.

Although our little ones were there to pose, feed the fish and somewhat take those 15 min in… this was truly FOR YOU!

This series was ALL ABOUT YOU, all that YOU do and all that YOU ARE !

I love you!

soon enough your littles will appreciate all these moments you selflessly fit into your schedule to capture for you and them.
