As a C8 owner with the Z51 Performance Package, thereās definitely something about the way this car feels when you start pushing it a little harder. The Z51 feels more planted, sharper, and a little more serious when you get into the corners. You can tell Chevrolet designed the package for someone who wanted a little more performance out of an already crazy platform.
But Iāll also say this: Z51 or not, the C8 is an incredible machine. Chevrolet built a lot of them, so maybe itāll never have the rarity of some exotic cars, but the amount of performance, technology, looks, and experience you get for the money is still pretty wild.
Is it a supercar? I donāt know. Iāve never owned or driven a true exotic supercar, so Iām not going to pretend I can make that comparison. š
What I do know is where I came from. I didnāt grow up around a bunch of money or exotic cars. So for somebody like me, being able to walk into my garage, see a mid-engine Corvette sitting there, grab the keys, take road trips with my wife, hit rallies, create content, and just enjoy the experienceā¦ thatās a blessing.
To somebody else, it might just be another Corvette.
To me, itās still a dream I get to drive. šš½
