One more before I post the entire album. Combinations of these boys have played on teams together for years. From flag football, soccer, basketball, t-ball, baseball. I may have missed something. They are pictured here with Jason who was their coach from their first four years of tackle football. The bonds and friendships they have made will last forever. Best of all they still have four years of high school to build more! Let's go Eagles!

Working on editing the SOBO 7-8th football game from Thursday night. The heart of all the players on both teams to just keep playing hard in a windy cold downpour. It was fun to watch...difficult to photograph. I ended up moving the the Hallsville sideline so the wind was at my back so the umbrella would protect my equipment. The last time I photographed in a downpour was at Mexico District Track in 2011 when my son Ryan was running the 400. I have done rain since then, but not a downpour like this.

When I am able to attend and photograph my grandson's games I try to go early to get a few of the 7th grade too. I think this was the opening of the 2nd half. I just had turned on the camera and the Eagles scored. These aren't the most dramatic action shots but as I edit I try to keep photos that I think the players, their families and the coach's will find meaningful. This guy left the defense in the dust and never slowed down until he was in the endzone. He also didn't showboat or taunt. His eyes were on the goal not on his own glory. A true team player.

There were options last night in Mexico. A play, a homecoming football game, and a concert to name a few. Pretty good for a small town. I took a few pics just for fun, cause you know, its what I do. Thanks to the Ridgway's for taking a risk and bringing something cool to town!
