Miss Raya was surrendered to our vet hospital about a month ago now and is looking for her furever home! She’s about a year and a half old, spayed, super sweet, playful, happy girl💕 She was diagnosed by the dermatologist with Ichthyosis, which is basically a skin condition that causes dry, flaky skin(dandruff). She benefits greatly from regular bathing with a medicated shampoo and a prescription allergy diet. Otherwise so far no other medications are needed as long as regular maintenance with baths are being done, otherwise she has had skin infections in the past by not keeping up with the baths and food.
We have tested her out with a few dogs, and she seems okay but would definitely need a meet and greet first if there is another dog in the household. We’re not sure about cats, and I would say since she does like to play rough she needs a house with older kids so she doesn’t accidentally knock them down. Please share! She is located in Mesa at the hospital I work at.
