Not all sibling shots are created equal- there are just so many factors, it can't be helped. I have been doing this long enough that one of the first things I talk to parents about is the reality that sometimes (most times if I'm honest), sibling shots are photoshopped later and can feel like a crazy mess during the actual session.
But occasionally, a sibling comes in enamored with their new baby. And even if that means that I can't get the eye contact, big laugh... it is truly so lovely.

It's the first Christmas that I don't have a studio full of candy canes and gingerbread! I miss it so much, but grateful to have skipped the glitter this year :)

🎶🎶 I've always been in love with you 🎶🎶 but the show is over, say good bye 🎶🎶

Not to be all sappy, and not to tell an un-truth, but Violet is giving my deepest curtsy to the minot community. My house is stunning (and warm, and grand, and beautiful) and ready to hit the market. My gear is collected from . My i's are dotted and my t's are crossed. I'm not saying I'll never ever come home again, but my regular trips are at a close.

I can't thank enough for all the guidance and man power at my house, and for the unwavering loyalty and friendship.
children's garden for trusting me with their kiddos and letting me revel in my own memories for a short time .
for always sharing her space, her tools, her brain and her kindness
for a fancy new hat and a spot of joy when I was feeling so sad.
And for my dear friends and fantastic clients who came out for a black and white mini session to cap off this chapter.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

This week in minot has felt both incredibly long (due to the work in the house) and incredibly short (the amount of time I've gotten to spend shooting) but I have made some super sweet images thanks to always being willing to share her space and her things! I'm still drowning in gratitude for my minot community!
