* Get to Know the Family:
Before the photoshoot, spend some time talking with the family to understand their dynamics, interests, and the story they want to tell through the photos. I use my customs questionnaire to do this, plus communicate with with them about styling and other key elements!

Sometimes you just need to try a new location, and push yourself! I knew this spot was going to have a short window for good light. So it was a much shorter session than my usual, plus nothing I could use to filter light, so we just played and used the light in ever direction! Such a beautiful evening!
