Last night I received a text from a client asking if I still have the pictures she hadn’t purchased from her session. Her fiancé passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind her and their newborn baby girl. 💔💔💔 Unfortunately this is not the first time in the last 10+ years of my career I’ve received a message like this, and it’s a sad reminder of how meaningful and important being a photographer can be.

I know all too well when you lose someone you love, the pictures you have become precious reminders of them, and the times you shared.

I’m not the right photographer for everyone and that’s okay. Book with someone who IS the right fit. Don’t wait until you think you’re skinny enough, you have the perfect outfit or life isn’t so crazy. It might be too late. One day, hopefully a long time from now, those pictures will mean more to you than anything. They will be priceless. They will be everything.

(This is a picture of my Mema and I on my wedding day. I lost her in August. This Saturday would have been her 86 birthday. I miss her every day.)
