Today marks day one of my 23rd year on this earth.

I genuinely have so many things and people to thank God for that, I can’t even begin to put it all into a singular social media post but here’s a small snippet of some of my favorites from year 22:

- lots of time spent on fun things with 4 wheels and 4WD
- bought my wedding dress (still can’t believe that I am going to be a wife in two months)
- solo traveled to Colorado for hiking and time spent behind the camera with some awesome couples
- got to spend lots of time behind the camera on the southern Oregon coast
- loved on our fur babies and even brought a new family member home
- reconnected with Jesus Christ
- found myself being celebrated by people who love me more than I feel like I deserve
- dune time with my almost husband (!)

along so many other incredible moments and incredible people. I can’t wait to see where I’m at 365 days from right now. (certain that I will be the best wife I know how to be and continue to be a little bad ass business owner)

One of my most favorite couples sessions to date. 90% of the time my sessions literally feel like just hanging out with some old friends, this one was a textbook case of that.

K & K let me hang around the family farm for a couple of hours on a warm early fall evening. We played with the barn kitties and I got to witness and document such a beautiful young love.

There’s something beautiful about the moments that aren’t planned… the in-between breaths, the quiet exchanges, the touch that happens without thinking.

These are the moments that tell the truest version of your wedding day.

When you stop performing for the camera and start living inside your day, that’s when the images begin to breathe. My approach isn’t perfection, but to hold space for you to be fully present. Because that actual presence is what turns photographs into memories that feel alive.

M+N on the beach, spending quiet time together, playing in the water, popping and sipping champagne after their intimate wedding on the Southern Oregon Coast.

So many of my couples find themselves so grateful for time alone (plus me) at the end of their day. Whether you’re eloping, having an intimate wedding or a big one, I encourage you to take a little time away from your guests to soak in the day with your partner. No real ‘plans’, just time to simply exist and take things slow, forget about what’s next on the schedule and love on each other.
