here come the critics…

“It’s not about the camera it’s about the photographer”

i’ve seen so many photographers Get absolutely triggered when someone asks them what type of camera they use.

And I think it is diabolical.

There is a certain level of knowledge on how to capture light beautifully, I will agree.
But if you think my DSLR from 2016 can take the same quality photo as my mirrorless body…you’re kukoo for Cocoa Puffs.

If you were to take the same exact picture with the same exact lens but with two different cameras, you are going to get two different photos. point blank.

My photo quality went up 90% just by upgrading my camera body. Not to talk about the photo opportunities (especially in low light).

and maybe I take that statement too literal? But if you are going to take a better photo with a DSLR than a mirrorless it better be in a well lit location or… Guess what? You’re gonna need more GEAR. (Lighting you can control)

Like I said.. there is a degree of knowledge for photography in general no matter what camera you use. But generally speaking, this phrase isn’t referring to people that don’t take photos or comparing professional photographer to non photographer work.
