As a child, I always knew my mom had my back.
Whether it was waiting after school while she worked her 2–11pm shift as a rehab nurse, or raiding the hospital cafeteria with her ID to stock my mini fridge—she always made sure I had what I needed.

I’d bring her my laundry in the hospital parking lot and pick it up days later, perfectly folded. When I could barely afford my apartment, she folded love into every load. She lived with me and my husband in a tiny space, caring for our babies overnight after a full day’s work. She helped us move across the country—and still shows up, 16 years later, in Wisconsin, vacuuming my floors, folding my clothes, and filling my pantry with Costco groceries.

She took me to church every week and showed me what unshakable faith looks like.

I am who I am because of her quiet strength, endless love, and unwavering example.

Thanks, Mom. I see it all now. đź’›

They may not be little anymore… but they’ll always be your babies. 💛

The cuddles have turned into quick hugs, and bedtime stories have become late-night chats. The toys have been replaced by car keys and college plans. But one thing hasn’t changed—the love. The bond. The way their heart is still tied to mine, no matter how tall they’ve grown or how far they roam.

Being a mom to teenagers and young adults is a quiet kind of love. It’s in the cheering, the listening, the letting go… and the holding on. It’s late-night texts, shared coffee runs, and watching them step into their own, knowing you’ll always be their home.

And somehow, there's never time to take pictures. We're always too busy, too tired, too caught up in the moment. But this is the moment. Right now—before they’re all grown and gone.

Because one day, these photos will speak the words we sometimes forget to say. They’ll remind them how fiercely they were loved, how deeply they were known, and how strong the connection has always been.

Life is short, and the time we have together slips by faster than we ever expect. But love like this? It leaves a mark that outlives us all.

Let them see it. Let them feel it. Let’s capture it—while we still can. 💕

Becky, it was the most beautiful day to spend with your beautiful family and chickens. Thank you for allowing me to honor you. Enjoy your sneak peaks! xo - Jenna

So here I am, sitting in my car, in 2° weather in Wisconsin. You know what? I’d rather be right here—warm in my car, basking in the sun streaming through the window—than trudging through the frozen tundra of Aldi's parking lot to shop for pizza-making ingredients. 🧀🍕

As a photographer, I get a lot of joy from capturing moments, but there's something about the stillness and quiet of editing photos, the satisfaction of creating memories for others, that feels just right. Even though my grocery list is staring me down, I’m choosing to savor the peace and warmth of my car today, instead of battling the cold and the crowds.

Sometimes, it's the little things—the sun on your face, the joy of creating something beautiful, and the simple act of choosing your comfort—that make the day better. I’ll get to the grocery shopping eventually... but for now, editing photos feels like the perfect way to spend this chilly day.
