Week 39: Golden Hour "Zoey"
Everyone say hello to Zoey.. an ADHD doggie who loves her pets and wants all the attention. My girlfriend and I took a trip out to a beach area to let her three girls roam around a bit and explore. Zoey is enjoying the beautiful sunset and trying to figure how to get a drink while not getting wet and yet wondering what that noise is and then wondering where her mom and sister is, while also wanting to go to the car and realizing oh wait I have to go p*e. Zoey is lots of fun and once you understand her quirks and cat like manners she grows on you.

Week 37: Black and White "Robin"
Say hello to Robin everyone... she is a fun and odd doggie. She definitely loves her mom .. others well.. she deals with them.. lol. One day last week my girlfriend and I took her three dogs to a field owned by a family member and just let them run around, needless to say they were happy doggies. I captured this image while sitting on the ground and using the pixel "magic capture".. basically I take a short video and pull still from it. Google suggested a few, I picked this one on my own as I went through the video frame by frame myself, then made a few edits and done.

Week 36 - Reflection - "Reflecting River"
Now that we have started to enter the "ber" months its getting closer to my favorite time of the year - fall...or autumn.... I LOVE IT :) With that in mind during the warmer months I honestly don't go out much to take pictures - too many people enjoying the hot weather and the colors...well there isn't much...so usually I focus on flowers and other things during those months. That said recently I upgraded my phone and figured it would be fun to try it out and so I took it for a spin and went to a favorite spot of mine to capture some sunset photos...only problem is I got there around sunset time ...so the sun was pretty much setting and the sky was kinda grey and dull...there was some light peaking through, but I didn't give up.....I took some pictures anyway, then I left.

Week 35 - Shape with light
In the early morning, I captured this image of my girlfriend's doggy - Lilly as I was drinking coffee. Before I captured this image she was sitting nicely on the rug as the sun was shining through the windows. directly behind me. As I started to capture some images on my phone Lilly got up and started walking towards me because she knew I was taking pictures of her. I was so happy to capture this one of her. I made a few quick edits on my phone using Snapseed and added a vignette to direct the eye and light more.

Week 34: Humor
Nope your eyes are not deceiving you and no I didn't add them - those are real goats on the roof which just happens to be real grass up there too. The restaurant is called Al Johnson's and the goats on the roof is what they are famous for ...oh and Swedish pancakes and meatballs. Recently I went there with my parents - its a few hours away from where I live but a beautiful area and drive so its worth it. Don't worry the goats do come down and there is a goat cam that streams live on YouTube.

Week 32: Leading Lines

There is a part of me that misses using a film camera and wondering if the images I took where worth the time, effort and cost to see them printed....in some ways it kinda made photography more enjoyable. Now, imagine if you opened a box of legos and they where already put together or some robot did it for you...not as enjoyable huh? Sometimes the fun in things is the process, the process of putting legos together on your own or shooting with film and praying that at least 3 images are good and that you didn't lose that one all important lego piece in the process. Truth be told I'm glad we have digital cameras and do not have to wait for the images to be processed only to realize they are not very good. Legos I still want to put together though.

Week 31: Abstract
On Saturday I went on a sailboat ride and as we where coming back in I captured this image of the waves using the long exposure mode on my phone while my hands with said phone where hanging over the water..I was praying that I didn't drop said phone into water. Thankfully that didn't happen and I was able to capture this rather interesting image. For the edit I just made some changes in Snapseed with the jpg file adding the drama filter and adjusting the color temp to the blue you see. Oh and I gave it a crop.

I'll post the BTE image in the comments below so you can see how it looked straight out of camera phone. :)

Week 29: Distortion

No special equipment was used nor was the bumblebee harmed in the taking of this photo. That said I did do some editing and found a really cool filter in Affinity Photo called "mirror" that I used to create this effect. I also adjusted the contrast, highlights, shadows and vibrance, which I think works really well for this weeks challenge.

I put in the comments the original image, or as I like to call it the "before the edit" or BTE for short.

Week 28: In the center
Wow it's been way too long and this challenge seems like a nice one to pop back in.. or as the tiny ant is saying .. hi I'm still here. 🤗
