Unsolicited advice from a wedding pro of 20+ years… If it’s not your wedding day, don’t creep on the first look. It’s an intentional moment set aside BY the bride and groom FOR the bride and groom. It centers them on each other and the sacredness of marriage. They’ve hired a team to make sure you won’t miss a thing. If you’re a parent or sibling you’ve likely already your own first look with your loved one. Stop being disrespectful. Stop creeping through windows and hedges like sleezey paparazzi! It is distracting for the couple who just wants to be in the moment- THEIR moment.

Rebel veil demanded its moment as well 🤣. Seriously though, don’t neglect the thoughtful details and accessories that take your bridal look from “beautiful” to “bespoke, totally you, and noteworthy.”

You’ve put so much loving thought into your bridal details! I want to make sure nothing is overlooked and that we celebrate your thoughtful touches. Set these aside for me so I can give them their moment:
Shoes, veil, garter, rings, jewelry, hankies/ heirlooms, any accessories with special significance, perfume, and bouquet. Please ask your floral designer to set aside some loose flowers so I can include them in your editorial spotlight.

Brides…. If you splurge on nothing else, PLEASE invest in an excellent wedding planner! Yes, you may have vision and fantastic planning skills. But trusting/ delegating a planner will free your time and mental energy so you can enjoy being engaged (not to mention your actual wedding day)! You deserve more of the quiet, in between moments.
