Life’s biggest adventures start closest to home.👣
When this sweet couple reached out to me, they asked if I knew of any indoor spots since it’s still cold in early March, typically, and I knew I just had to recommend slate studio. I have been wanting to do a shoot there for awhile and just never had a reason to book a slot, and then I was given a reason, so I ran with it. For my first studio session ever, I’m so proud of these and I’m definitely looking forward to hanging at Slate again.🔥📸
Yesterday, I watched a video from one of my favorite photographers and he was talking about how social media had changed. Gone are the days where you just post your photos and go throughout your day. People want to see the human side of you, not the machine that can just churn out good photos. People know your work, and they know you can take photos. They’re looking for a connection. They don’t want to just see photos, they want to know what my friend Logan is up to, and if I’m totally honest, I struggle with this because when I get to a shoot, I immediately go into photographer mode. I neglect the BTS and just put the blinders on and fly into the moments before me throwing caution to the wind and because of this, my humanity struggles to appear on my feed and it’s just my work. It was a very thought provoking discussion, so I wanted to attempt to start to give my humanity a presence, so if you care at all, I left something for ya at the end. 🤝🏼🫶🏻📸
