Camden Maine municipal harbor. Maine is gorgeous and chilly for summer to me. The tide swings are unbelievable. The floating docks which we are on, go up and down with the tide. The towns remove them in winter because the ice crushes the floats that hold them up.

A little leak below the waterline is a big deal and requires hauling the boat out into the dry to fix. We exited the boat so quickly I didn’t have my phone to document how this all started but for the curious. Here’s the end of what’s involved.

We weren’t far out of Wilmington NC ,where we had AC work done, when our generator running the AC kept shutting down. The repair guys lived in Wrightsville so we stopped and waited until they could get to us with parts and we were on our way again.

We made it! 400+nm and 48 hours 🧭. from Ft. Lauderdale to Charleston non stop. Most of the time we ran about 9 or 10 nm p/h but we blew it out a few times at double that just to clear the carbon build up. 😜 Could not ask for calmer seas. You’re on your own out there with hours where we saw nothing but blue water and an occasional tanker or two. Didn’t sleep much. 🥱
My watch at the helm was 4-8 PM and 4-8 AM. Looking forward to the marina in Charleston and experiencing this lovely southern city from the water for the first time.
