She is the region’s only fellowship‑trained pediatric and adolescent gynecologist, bringing specialized care to young patients with compassion and leadership. Dr. Shephard currently serves as an associate professor and associate dean at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and she is the division chief at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

Over his career, he has authored more than 245 publications, secured 180+ patents, and received major honors including the AANS Cushing Award.
