Giveaway alert - Last week to enter!!!Let's talk about the difference between portraiture/editorial photography and documentary style photography because when I first started, I had no idea what that actually meant.

Editorial photography is the posed, structured, make-you-look-like-a-model-in-a-magazine photography style. If you want guidance on every pose and your shots to be perfect, then this is what you want.

Documentary style is the candid, as it happens, fly-on-the-wall photography style. If you want a story told about you or your event and your shots to capture what happens as it happens, then this is the style you want.

Now let's talk my style (because you are on my post rn - hi lol). I do a custom mix of both. I use a mix of poses and prompts to tell a story about you guys and your love, family, who you are. I lean into whatever my couple is feeling and really try to show emotions through photos. I prefer more candid, documentary style shooting, but I am armed with lots of poses for all shapes, sizes, and types of people to make you look best. That way your mom has a perfectly posed shot for her mantle and you have a memory to look back on for how you were on that day at that time in your relationship. If you want a mix of both, I'm your gal.
