FedEx has brought back the classic retro livery on Boeing 777F N884FD, featuring the iconic old FedEx logo in memory of the late founder, Frederick W. Smith.

Seeing that original purple-and-orange logo on a 777 is a wonderful tribute to the man who transformed the way the world moves packages. A piece of FedEx history flying once again! ❤️

Back in January 2020 at Miami International Airport (MIA), I captured this beautiful SAS Scandinavian Airlines Airbus A330-343 landing on Runway 9.

Originally flying long-haul routes for SAS, this aircraft has since begun a new chapter with flyadeal Airlines, where it now operates under registration TC-NYA. It's always fascinating to look back at photos and realize the aircraft has gone on to serve a completely different airline.

Back in June 2004 at New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA), I captured this American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-83, registration N976TW, departing from at the terminal.

This aircraft began its career with Trans World Airlines (TWA) before joining the American Airlines fleet following the merger. Years later, after its passenger service ended, it found a new chapter with Aero North International, becoming one of the many classic Mad Dogs to continue flying in specialized operations.

Captured in January 2023 at Miami International Airport, this American Airlines Boeing 767-323 gracefully touches down on Runway 9. Not long after, this passenger jet began a new chapter—converted into a freighter and now flying for DHL as A9C-DHS.

A throwback to January 2023 at Miami International Airport, capturing this beautiful American Airlines Boeing 757-200 (N193AN) touching down on Runway 9.

Since this photo was taken, this classic 757 has started a new chapter. After retiring from passenger service with American Airlines, N193AN was converted into a freighter and now flies cargo for Asia Pacific Airlines.

🇺🇸✈️ FedEx Takes Flight in Honor of America 250

One of the newest additions to the FedEx fleet is carrying a special tribute to our nation's history. Boeing 767-300F N245FE now proudly displays the "AMERICA 250" emblem, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

It's a fitting tribute from a company that has spent decades connecting people, businesses, and communities across America and around the world. Seeing this special livery take to the skies is a reminder of the innovation, resilience, and spirit that have defined our nation for 250 years.

As an aviation enthusiast, it's always exciting to see aircraft that tell a story—and N245FE is now part of American aviation history.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Anniversary, America!
