Some girls want their senior photos in A garden, but as a girl who lives for concerts and Boston sports, (especially Bruins games!) Gabby wanted to make sure that her photos showcased THE Garden, as in the ! Working on this set now and cannot wait to share more from this one of a kind session!

How this day came so fast, I'll never know, but here's my very favorite senior, my beautiful Zoe Dylan. 🥹

For a very long time, as parents, you get to be the center of that world and it's a gift I never took for granted.

Still, no matter how much we think we are prepared for it, it's bittersweet to watch their world expand exponentially over the years and to find our place in it naturally shifting as they grow.

Tomorrow is the first day of Zoe's senior year and I know that I'm going to blink and we will be at the end of it. There is no slowing down this roller coaster ride, but there's absolutely no one I'd rather be on it with. May this be the best year yet! 🥹❤️

Another beautiful session with a member of the Melrose High class of 2027! Audrey is an award winning Scottish Highland dancer who has been dancing since she was 6, has competed in every U.S. championship since was 8 and has earned a top 3 finish each year.

I love learning about how the seniors I work spend their time and I'm so glad that we incorporated this huge part of her life into her photos. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

What's more fun than your senior portrait session? Senior portrait sessions scheduled back to back so that you can get a few photos together too! These two go waaaaay back and I've known them both since their kindergarten days too, so it was such a treat to get to kickoff the start of their senior year with these sessions!

My feed has been heavy on the senior portraits and will continue to be over the next few weeks, but I'm still photographing plenty of families in between the seniors and as always, family beach sessions come with their own special kind of joy. I have photographed this family for years and the brotherly love between these three is the best!

Putting the finishing touches on this senior gallery and then taking some much-needed time off this afternoon with my family! The sun didn't show up for what I had hoped would be a beach day today, but since coming home in 8/8 from two weeks of beach time on the Cape, I've been at a beach 10 out of the last 14 days so I guess I really can't complain! Some of those have been for sessions and some have just been for pure leisure but any day on the beach is a good day in my book. On this particular session night, we were graced with a spectacular sky to wrap things up!

For those of you waiting for your senior session gallery, I appreciate your patience and I'll share an updated queue in my stories soon. I know that seniors put in the work to pick a location, put together a great outfit, choose accessories, do hair, makeup, etc., and every image that you receive in your final gallery is edited in detail by me (after I narrow down the best images from the hundreds and hundreds that I take!) so it does take some time but every gallery deserves that dedicated time and attention! 😊

New England weather can be so fickle that you may well get two (or more!) entirely different weather systems in an hour and I have NO complaints. Wrapping up the edits on this session, and I absolutely loved all of the variety that Mother Nature threw at us. These two shots were taken in the same 45 minte period.🌞⛅️☁️

In full disclosure, the lightning that eventually showed up DID cut our session a bit short, but that just meant that this beautiful senior got to come back another day for us to finish up and she got yet another different weather system for those photos. Can't wait to share more from this gallery!

Photography (and life!) can feel loaded with rules. Some are valid, some are worth thinking about and some just function as chains that hold us back and maybe never really made sense in the first place.

After all, if the goal of family photos is to freeze a moment, document a feeling and capture a connection, then the when and the where are just details. You could scroll through social media and start to believe that love and life only happen during golden hour but alas, it turns out that your family's story is also beautiful in the early afternoon and a crowded downtown area in the height of tourist season is just as good of a place to tell it as any other place when you are having fun. ❤️ I absolutely loved working with this beautiful family before they headed back home to the West Coast!
