I’m slowing down.
Not stopping or stepping away from, just simply slowing down.
This past year, I have made my mental and physical health one of my top priorities, along with trying to be more present as a mother (goes hand in hand). And with that I’ve come to realization that there’s just not enough time in the day, the week, or life for me to devote so many different pieces of my brain or myself to it all. When I’ve tried to do that in the past, something or someone ends up getting neglected and that’s just not me.
I love photography, and I love being your photographer, I love providing affordable mini sessions, and I love trading with other creative and talented people, and I love capturing the love people share for each other. I want to continue to do all of that, and I will.
But right now it’s going to have to be on a very limited basis. It’s never been easy for me to say no to things, but unfortunately, I’m going to have to start and make boundaries very clear. I’ve been so lucky to have the most flexible and understanding clients in the world, and I will always try my best to reciprocate all of that to each of you however I possibly can.
I’m choosing now to talk about this because we are about to dive into the busy season. But at this point in my life, it’s not just a professional or business busy season, my home is busy and my life is busy and I’m so lucky and fortunate to just ALWAYS be busy.
But this busy season I’m choosing to go about a little different… A controlled/manageable busy if you will.
This means, I will have strictly set dates and times for mini sessions, and I wont be booking outside those times, overbooking, or last minute booking. That being said, I believe this leaves space for so much more intention and enjoyment for each session.
I’m not sure how long I plan on operating this way, if it works out this very well might be a long term way that I choose to go about things. Regardless, I know I’ll always be here, I’ll always be your photographer, and I’ll always appreciate every single one of you.

I started hosting opportunities like this a year ago because in this economy it has become a privilege to have captured memories. I believe it is something that everyone is entitled to. It’s my goal with these sessions to offer an affordable alternative for clients that feels just as special as any other session.
