After more than 20 years, I’m sharing some bittersweet news, Erica Ritchie Photography is officially closing as I shift my full focus to Rogue Salad and this next chapter.
What makes this so emotional is the friendships that I have gained through the years. This business has been so much more than sessions and galleries—it’s been the connections I've made with all of you. I started this journey because I wanted good photos of my daughter for her scrapbook (Some of you might remember when I was going to open a scrapbook store...LOL) and it turned into so much more! I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many of you at the very beginning and then getting to stay a part of your story. I’ve photographed tiny newborn faces, then watched those same kids grow through milestones, birthdays, senior photos, and graduations. I’ve been there for engagements and weddings… and in some cases, I’ve even gotten to photograph their babies too. Those full-circle moments are the kind of gift I’ll never take for granted. You didn’t just become clients—you became familiar faces, friendships, and a meaningful part of my life and story.
While I’m closing this chapter of Erica Ritchie Photography, I’m not stepping away from everything. The Santa Experience will absolutely continue. It has become such a meaningful tradition for so many families, and it’s a piece of this work that I still love deeply. I can’t wait to keep creating that magic each season and seeing familiar faces return year after year.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you for 20 incredible years.
Here are some of the very first photos that I took when I first started out!
