A promise I make to every family that steps in front of my camera: we'll get the photo where everyone is looking and smiling. 🤍

But I also promise we'll get the photos in between.

The giggles. The snuggles. The hand-holding. The toddler running back and forth. The moments that feel the most like you.

Those are often the images families treasure most years later.

The Ward family was such a joy to photograph, and this gallery is the perfect reminder that family photos don't have to be perfectly posed to be perfect.

A little peek back at the sweetest April newborn session with the Thompson family 🤍

They had recently welcomed their baby girl, and it was such a joy getting to spend the morning with them. Life with a newborn and a toddler is always a little busy, but in the very best way. I loved watching Brayden hold his baby sister and talk to her. He was already so proud and so sweet.

And mom and dad? They were absolutely rocking life as a family of four. Such a beautiful season for this precious family.

I had such a sweet morning with the Ward family! The last time I photographed them, they were a family of four, and now they’re a family of five. It’s always such a gift getting to see familiar faces again and watch families grow over the years.

I loved catching up with them, hearing what life has looked like lately, and helping them update the photos hanging in their home. These seasons go by so quickly, and I’m so grateful to help families preserve them. 🤍

A little peek into last week’s grad session in the Center of the Universe! 🎓🤍

One of my favorite things about grad sessions at Randolph-Macon is getting to hear what places around campus meant the most to each senior. I loved that Peighton chose locations that are often overlooked but held so many memories for her. We started in the chem lab, made our way to the walkway in Freshman Village, and of course ended at the fountain.

It was the most perfect evening for photos, and getting to celebrate such a huge accomplishment alongside her was so special. College is such a transformative season of life, and it’s always an honor getting to help document the end of that chapter.

Congratulations, Peighton! So excited for all that’s ahead for you. ✨

Six years ago, Cameron and I stood in front of our closest family and made vows to one another. We entered into marriage in the middle of a global pandemic, during a time when the world felt uncertain and so much of life felt heavy. People were confined to their homes, fear was everywhere, and everything seemed to change overnight.

But on our wedding day, things felt peaceful. They felt safe. It was intimate and joy-filled in a way I’ll never forget.

I remember thinking then that I couldn’t possibly love Cameron more than I did on that day, but somehow I do. The last six years have stretched us in the best ways. We’ve learned how to love each other through difficult seasons, celebrate mountaintop moments together, pray for each other, and continue choosing each other through every season life brings.

I’m so grateful I get to do life with Cameron by my side. He’s my best friend, and I tell him that every single day. God has been so kind to us, and I’m endlessly thankful for the life we’ve built together. 🤍 Happy Anniversary, Cameron! I love you.

A little peek into last night’s grad session in the Center of the Universe! 🎓 I loved that Peighton chose locations around campus that were meaningful to her and a little more unexpected. We started in the chem lab, made our way to the walkway in Freshman Village, and finished at the iconic fountain.

Last week’s newborn session could not have been more perfect. A dreamy nursery, a precious baby boy, and getting to reconnect with friends I haven’t seen in a while…it truly doesn’t get much sweeter than that.

Moments like these are such a reminder of why I love this job so much. I’m incredibly grateful to spend my days photographing beautiful people and the lives they’re building together. 🤍

I had the best time celebrating with Emma yesterday afternoon! We ended up moving her session up a couple hours to dodge the rain, and I’m so glad we did because the weather turned out to be absolutely perfect.

We spent the afternoon strolling around campus, talking about all the things that make Randolph-Macon so special. Emma is so beautiful and such a natural in front of the camera. Grad season is always so fun, especially when it’s at a campus that feels like home. 🎓🤍
