The first thing I noticed wasn't the hat.

It wasn't the dress.

It wasn't the sky.

It was the way they were looking at each other.

Expression will almost always matter more than location.

Or lighting.

Or expensive gear.

A genuine look between two people has a way of making everything else disappear.

That's one of the reasons I love photographing weddings.

There are dozens of moments throughout the day where people completely forget they're standing in front of a camera.

That's where the real story lives.

If you're looking for wedding photography that focuses on genuine connection over perfect poses, I'd love to be part of your day.

This image almost didn't happen.

Sometimes I'll have an idea during a session that I've never actually tried before.

It's a little risky.

There's no guarantee it'll work.

But every once in a while...

Taking that creative chance leads to something completely different.

Photography is technical, sure.

But it's also play.

It's experimenting.

It's being willing to fail in pursuit of creating something memorable.

I love delivering the timeless portraits my clients expect.

But every now and then, I also love surprising them with something they never expected.

This one ended up being one of my favorites from the session.

One of my favorite things about photographing couples is realizing that love never looks exactly the same twice.

Some couples can't stop laughing.

Some are playful.

Some are quiet.

Some communicate everything with a single glance.

That's why I never walk into a session expecting everyone to fit into the same poses.

I'm much more interested in discovering what makes your relationship feel like yours.

Because years from now...

You won't care whether your hands were positioned perfectly.

You'll care that the photos remind you of how you loved each other.

If that sounds like the kind of session you're looking for, you can explore more of my work at www.brianmphoto.mypixieset.com. I'd love to tell your story.

Most of life happens in between the milestones.

We celebrate the engagement.

The wedding.

The anniversary.

But we rarely stop to appreciate everything in between.

Walking across the street together.

Laughing about absolutely nothing.

Holding hands because it feels natural.

Those ordinary moments are what make a relationship.

And one day...

They're the moments you'll miss the most.

That's why I don't believe every photo has to feel grand or perfectly posed.

Sometimes the best images come from simply letting two people be exactly who they are together.

If you've been thinking about booking a couples session, I'd love to help preserve this season of your life.

This is why I still love black and white photography.

Take the color away...
..and suddenly there's nowhere for your eyes to go except the emotion.

No vibrant sunset.

No colorful flowers.

No dramatic scenery.

Just two people who forgot a camera was even there.

The older I get as a photographer, the less interested I become in perfect poses.

I'm much more interested in genuine connection.

Because trends come and go.

Editing styles change.

But emotion never goes out of style.

That's the kind of photograph I hope still means something fifty years from now.

If timeless photographs matter to you too, I'd love to create something meaningful together.

I don't think love is always about looking at each other.

Sometimes it's about walking in the same direction.

I loved this moment because it feels like an invitation.

She turns back with this huge smile...

Almost as if she's saying,

"Come on."

It's such a simple interaction, but it says so much.

Relationships are built from thousands of little moments like this.

The inside jokes.

The walks.

The ordinary evenings.

Those moments don't usually make it into photo albums...

Unless someone is paying attention.

That's why I love documenting couples the way they naturally interact instead of asking them to hold a pose for ten seconds.

Because years later, it's those little pieces of your relationship you'll miss the most.

If that sounds like the kind of photos you've been looking for, I'd love to help tell your story.

"I'm really awkward in photos."

I hear that almost every session.

Lexi told me the exact same thing.

She was convinced she wasn't photogenic.

The funny thing is...

Being photogenic usually has very little to do with how someone looks.

It has everything to do with how comfortable they feel.

Once the pressure disappears...

Once they stop worrying about where their hands go...

Once they stop thinking about the camera...

That's when the real smiles start showing up.

My job isn't to make you into someone you're not.

It's to create an environment where you can finally relax enough to be yourself.

And that's when photos start feeling like you.

If you've been putting off a session because you think you're awkward...

Trust me.

You're exactly the kind of person I love photographing.

It's hard to believe we're already talking about back-to-school season.

For some families, this is the last first day of high school. For others, it's the beginning of a brand-new chapter. Either way, these seasons have a way of passing much faster than we expect.

That's why I love photographing seniors.

It's not just about yearbook photos. It's about capturing who you are right now—the hobbies you've poured yourself into, the places that mean something to you, and the personality your family has watched grow over the years.

Years from now, these photos become more than pictures. They become memories you can hold onto.

I'm now booking senior portrait sessions for August and September.

If you're looking for relaxed, natural photos that actually feel like *you*, I'd love to help tell your story.

The hardest part about photographing weddings isn't getting the shot.

It's recognizing when the shot is about to happen.

This moment lasted maybe two seconds.

Dad smiled.

His daughter smiled back.

The groom reached out.

And just like that, one chapter quietly gave way to another.

No grand gestures.

No dramatic tears.

Just a father who looked incredibly proud.

Those are the moments I find myself thinking about long after I get home.

Because years from now, this photo won't just remind them what their wedding looked like.

It'll remind them exactly how it felt.

If you're planning a wedding and want photos that preserve the little moments just as much as the big ones, I'd love to tell your story.
