We finished Brooke's senior session down by the creek, her mom pushing her on a swing while she laughed. I had a sense of how many times this scene had played out in their lives; little Brooke beaming, mama beaming back, giggles and spinning on a playground (Again, Mommy, again!) and I thought about how lucky Brooke was to have those safe hands that pushed, and how lucky mom was to be gifted this beautiful child to send out into the world. Thank you, Ryerson's for all that you do, including asking me to capture this joyous moment with you ❤️

It's a Teddy party! A first birthday party in fact, cookie-themed this time. Third babies are like, the best babies because even rocking ear infections, they show up with smiles and nose scrunches and never really fuss when a whole bag of mini cookies gets dumped on them by your older sisters. It's just part of the daily routine for Teddy. Happy 1st to this 3rd!

Sometimes the simple choice is best; we picked the location of Addison's senior portraits because of the familiar venue - her great grandparent's house, where her parents had married in the yard years before. And just before the photos were taken, Pap passed away, and they knew the house and beautiful yard would soon be sold. So this moment in the garden with the deer and the squirrels and the cats was dear, indeed ❤️ Grateful to have been a part it! And beyond proud of Addison, who is going to knock all yall's socks off with her beautiful life ❤️

Samantha is my second Brooker senior and while her brother may have won the award for fastest senior session, Samantha wins the award for smile as bright as the sun 😁 and its not just her smile that is bright! It's her future 🌈 This powerhouse will make the world a better place. Thank you for this opportunity, Brooker family ❤️

I met the Briffa Family beside the creek one lovely fall day a few weeks ago. A family session was long overdue for this set of four and they were all smiles for me as we recorded this moment in time. Thanks to the beautiful Briffa family for inviting me into this moment with you 🧡💛❤️💚

When I first met high school senior Jake, he was a baby. His mom Marsha was my coworker at a new job and when she came into the office to do the working-mom tap dance of being half here and half there, she'd bring him along, slung on her hip. Soon enough, he was crawling through the halls and delighting coworkers with his bright smile and curls 😍 I loved these days! We all did.

Later, it would be Marsha who helped me first orient to and navigate the IVF process. And it was Jake, the living proof of that journey, who gave me hope that I'd have a miracle of my own someday. I didn't know when I met him that he'd shine such a light into my heart, but he did 🕯️

Thankful for another chance to look upon these dear ones and capture this moment 📸 Fly high and shine on, Jake!
