It’s engagement session season and truly one of my favorite parts of this entire job! These sessions are where I really get to know my couples. How you laugh together. Who’s more sentimental. Who needs a little reassurance in front of the camera. The quiet moments. The silly moments. The way you naturally reach for each other without even thinking.

By the time your wedding day arrives, you’re no longer just “clients.” You’re people I’ve walked with in a small but meaningful season of your story and that connection changes everything about the way I photograph you.

Engagement sessions aren’t just about pretty photos.
They’re about trust. Comfort. Presence. And beginning to tell your story before the biggest day even gets here. It’s just truly really special and I love it so much. 🤍

A little intimate wedding last fall at a venue *basically* in my backyard. The light, the dress, the people, the vibes…all 10/10. With 8 years in the wedding game, the couples who have the most fun are the ones who let go a little. The timeline bends. The flower girl melts down. The bustle breaks. And somehow, it’s still perfect. Because at the end of the day, you married your favorite person. Bringing all the fun and stress free vibes to my 2026 weddings, because weddings should be fun!

This week I photographed two stillborn babies.
And I delivered a wedding gallery filled with joy and champagne and the kind of love that spills out onto the dance floor.

My heart held both.

The deepest grief.
The loudest celebration.

It feels impossible that photography lives in both spaces. But it does.

In one home, these images are all a family will have. Tiny fingers. Perfect profiles. Proof that their babies were here. That their lives mattered.
In another, these images will be pulled out on anniversaries and shown to future children as the beginning of everything.

Different stories.
Same truth.

Photos matter.

They hold the moments we can’t hold onto.
They honor the love that was.
They celebrate the love that is.
They steady us in grief.
They return us to joy.

And I am deeply honored that families trust me to step into their most sacred moments. I don’t feel worthy, but at the same time I feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.

I married a guy whose life motto is “you only live once”. And I’m so grateful I did. I had a dream to stay home with my kids, but also contribute to my family financially while also filling my creative soul. He said, “go for it!”. I quit my job and the rest is history.

Self-taught.
Self-made.
Built during nap time and after bedtime.

No formal training. Just heart, hard work, and learning as I went. Proof that if you care enough and work hard enough, you can build something really special🤍
