Film photos in the summer = perfection.

The flower photos were taken at a local farm’s pick your own wildflower patch and the others were taken at a county fair.

I tried some different film for these, one was street candy and the other was psychedelic. I was looking for something different than regular Kodak 400. Unfortunately the psychedelic was discontinued.

I was supposed to take a black and white film class this summer but it got canceled so I figured since I already had the B&W film why not use it. I realized I really enjoy shooting film! I hope you enjoy a couple of my photos I took.

The first couple photos were taken at Jim Thorpe when we saw the “Big Boy” steam engine taken on a Canon AE-1.

The next set were taken while waiting for the “Big Boy” cross the Rockville Bridge in Harrisburg taken on a Canon Rebel EOS 2000.

I can’t wait to take more photos with these film cameras!

Last week we took a little road trip to Jim Thorpe to catch the Big Boy 4014 steam engine parked at the train station. I loved getting to take some pictures and talking to other photographers about this train. And then yesterday I got to witness this historic train cross the historic bridge. For anyone that isn’t aware the Rockville Bridge in Harrisburg is the longest stone arch railroad bridge in the world and was built in 1902. There were so many people there to see this crossing.

Last week I took a ride to Gettysburg, PA and walked around downtown. I got some pictures of historic buildings from the civil war era. The Dobbin House, Jennie Wade House, The Welty House, Shriver House and the Farnsworth House. They are shooting a movie down there while we were there so the stuff in front of the Shriver House was from the scenes they shot over the weekend.

Sunday night we had worship night at church. I love worship nights. ❤️
