One of the many photos I took, and one of many of my favorites of Chassing Big Boy 4014 through Western New York. This was taken in Irving NY just after crossing over Cattaragus Creek. You can see Engineer Ed Dickens peering out the window down the track ahead making sure the line is clear. Just an Engineer and his locomotive running down the tracks.

More to come of this event from a few different locations across Western New York.

✨️📸 What an awesome display of sights and sounds today, as Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 crossed over the Letchworth Viaduct earlier today! The Worlds LARGEST, Steam Locomotive! A memory for the books, and a HUGE checkmark for the Bucketlist!

4014 made her way down the line, and a slow walk across the bridge, stopping midway across. Displaying herself on the bridge for spectators to record and snap pictures and listen to her bellow her voice through the valley bellow.

Wouldn't you know though, she decides to stop JUST, behind a pair of limbs center of the camera. 🤦‍♂️ But, never the less you get a chance to listen to her scream her voice, High and Mighty above the falls.

Video is a bit lengthy, BUT, its well worth the watch and listen! 📸✨️

✨️📸🚂🚃 When I was growing up, the Kinzu Bridge was always a fun place to visit and watch the train roll across the trestle, since it was only a short distance from our family's camp in the area.

Walking across this magnificent bridge, being high up above the valley it once spanned, made me wonder as a kid how they built it.

When the wind was blowing just right on a warm summer weekend, we could hear the train blowing its whistle down through the valley while sitting around the campfire. I really wish time could rewind so I could go back and capture the movements across this once-magnificent structure with the camera and knowledge I have today.

In 2003, a tornado ripped through the valley for a long distance, touching down in multiple locations across the countryside, one of which was just up the road from our camp. 🌩🌪⚡️

Now visitors can see the carnage of twisted steel that once stood high and mighty for the Erie Railroad, later the Knox and Kane Railroad. Though a majority of the bridge was knocked out, a good portion of it still stands as a skywalk and overlook for tourists to walk out and see the valley and beautiful landscape it once crossed.

Down for repairs at the current time, one can still go and see a few sights from the overlook just down from the museum building. Reconstruction of the walkway with new decking is underway, along with stabilizing and repainting of the metal framework. Tourists may be able to take the walk across this bridge again in the next few years once the work is completed. 🏗🧱

✨️📸 As an expression of gratitude for the recent influx of followers, I am pleased to share a 30-second glimpse of unadulterated beauty and serenity, courtesy of nature's finest medicine. This footage, captured a few weeks ago at Freedom Falls, Pennsylvania, showcases the awe-inspiring beauty that can be experienced through a leisurely hike in the woods, and the tranquility that comes with immersing oneself in nature's splendor. A sight of this magnitude is truly something to be savored. ✨️📸🎬📹

✨️📸 Welcome to Carlson K'reationz. I am thrilled to share my photography portfolio, featuring Landscape and Wildlife, as well as Railroad activity, with you.

Over the past eight years, my passion for photography was temporarily set aside due to various circumstances, including the birth of my daughter, which led me to prioritize capturing moments with her. ✨️🥰

Recently, a fellow photographer at JB Photography, inspired me to revive my passion for photography. With a renewed sense of purpose and guidance, I am now eager to continue capturing the world's beauty through my lens. I hope you enjoy my work and I look forward to sharing future projects with you as opportunities become available. ✨️📸
