Hi friends! Since there are so many new faces here, I thought I’d reintroduce myself.

My name is Shae, and I am the owner of Shae Gillespie Photography. I’m a 26-year-old boy mom to two sweet little boys, Colton and Weston, and I’ve been with my fiancé, Alex, for 8 years.

Photography became a part of my life in 2021, but what keeps me passionate about it isn’t the camera—it’s the people. It’s the love between a bride and groom, the tiny hands wrapped around mom’s finger, the laughter during a family session, and the memories that become more valuable with time.

Life has really taught me here lately just how precious photographs can be. They freeze a moment that we wish we could hold onto forever. That’s why every session means so much to me. I don’t just want to take pictures—I want to tell your story.

To all of my amazing clients, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience, understanding, and the countless prayers you’ve said for Jade and my family. The love and support we’ve received during this time has been overwhelming in the best way.

Right now, we are walking a road that none of us ever expected, and some days are harder than others. As we continue this journey with Jade, I ask that you please keep the prayers coming. Every prayer, message, and kind word gives us strength and reminds us that we are not walking this road alone.

Thank you for showing us so much grace as I navigate family time, hospital/home visits, and work. Your kindness means more than we could ever put into words.

Please keep our family in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time. We are facing news that no family ever wants to hear, and our hearts are hurting.

Most of all, please pray for my sister and Jamie as they walk through the unimaginable. Pray for strength when they feel weak, peace when the days feel overwhelming, and comfort in the moments when words just aren’t enough.

Please also keep Jade, our entire family, and everyone who loves her in your prayers. We are taking things one day at a time and leaning on God through it all.

To all of my wonderful clients,

I ask for a little patience and understanding over the next few days as I may be slower than usual responding to messages, emails, and other inquiries.

Our family has just received the heartbreaking news that my niece, Jade’s cancer is terminal. We are still trying to process this devastating reality and take in everything that comes with it.

Please know that I appreciate each and every one of you, and I will get back to messages as soon as I can. Right now, my family needs some time to be together and navigate the difficult days ahead.

Such a beautiful bridal shower yesterday celebrating a very special bride-to-be! 💍🤍

I had so much fun capturing all of the love, laughter, and sweet moments shared with family and friends. These are memories that deserve to be treasured forever.

I’m already excited to go through all of the photos and can’t wait to send out the finished album soon! And in just two short months, I’ll have the honor of capturing their wedding day too. ✨

As much as I was looking forward to Sunday’s sessions, I have decided to reschedule them due to the river rising and the area becoming very muddy from all the rain. I always want your sessions to be as beautiful and enjoyable as possible, and right now the location just isn’t giving us that.

Thank you all so much for understanding and always being so supportive through all of the weather changes lately. I promise it will be worth the wait for prettier scenery and the sweetest photos. 🤍

I wanted to give a quick update about this Sunday’s pictures. With all the rain we’ve had and the river rising and flooding the area, there’s a chance we may need to reschedule.

I’m going to keep a close eye on everything and will make a final decision by Saturday evening, and I’ll let everyone know as soon as possible.
