McKinney Oktoberfest was PACKED, but you can always make time for a creative moment. 📸

In between shooting for local businesses, I got to step away from the crowds for a bit and create with my amazing client, 🐰

Downtown McKinney was colorful, festive, loud, busy and full of life — basically the perfect backdrop.

I’m so grateful to be part of this community and even more grateful that I get to spend my days creating for the businesses and the people who make it what it is. 💙

Behind the Campaign 🍷🎬

How do you create social media content that tells a story without losing the brand in the process?

That was my thought process behind this campaign for Lone Star Winery.

I didn’t want to simply photograph w**e, glasses, and a beautiful space. I wanted to capture what happens around the w**e—the flirting, the laughter, the conversations, the little looks across the table, and the moments that make a place memorable.

But here’s the marketing part: storytelling still has to serve the brand.

The people can carry the story, but the product and business should naturally exist within it. The goal isn’t to interrupt the story to say, “Look at our product!” It’s to make the product feel like it belongs in the story.

So I built this campaign in three chapters:

🍷 The Invitation — create curiosity.
🍷 The Experience — show them what it feels like.
🍷 The Love Story — connect that feeling back to the brand.

My biggest content tip?

Don’t just show people what you sell. Show them the life that happens around it.

A bottle of w**e tells me what you offer.

A couple laughing over that bottle tells me why I might want to experience it.

That’s how we move from simply posting content to intentionally telling a brand story.

And the story isn’t over yet… 👀🍷

Six months into Kay Emm Studios. 🖤

And sometimes I still think… how am I actually doing both of these things at the same time? 😂

When I started Kay Emm Studios, I genuinely wasn’t sure I could run two very different sides of my professional life at once.

On one side, I’m a SHRM-certified fractional Director of Admin/HR and the girl who wears way many hates, by choice!! 😂

On the other, I’m a marketing strategist, photographer, content creator, creative, brand builder, and storyteller extraordinaire.

Somehow… it works.

The last six months have taught me that I don’t have to choose between the strategic side of my brain and the creative one.

I can spend part of my day thinking about business, people, strategy, and solving problems—and another part behind a camera, building a campaign, creating content, or helping someone figure out how to tell their story.

I used to wonder if I needed to pick a lane.

Turns out, this is my lane.

A little corporate.
A little creative.
A lot of hats. 😂

Six months down, and Kay Emm Studios is still growing, evolving, and teaching me what I’m capable of.
