Isn’t it funny how getting paid in advance for a photography job activates a whole different version of me?
Like suddenly I’m triple-checking my calendar, waking up at 6 AM with “Did I charge my batteries??” energy, and guarding that session like it’s the last slice of cheesecake in the fridge.

Meanwhile, if the payment hasn’t hit yet…
Me: “Oh look, I magically forgot what day it is.”
Also me: refreshes bank app “Hmm… interesting.” 😂

The irony of getting paid ahead of time?
It instantly turns us into highly motivated, overly responsible human beings who show up 10 minutes early with snacks, extra memory cards, and the energy of someone who slept 12 hours.

“To my clients that wonder what’s it like having 5 kids…”

Well, imagine a daily mix of laughter, chaos, negotiations, snack breaks, missing shoes, and surprise hugs — all wrapped into one big beautiful mess. 😄💛

But here’s the truth: my five kids are the reason I have the patience, the tricks, and the hacks to work with little ones so well. They’ve taught me how to turn meltdowns into giggles, how to get the shy ones to open up, and how to capture those real, in-between moments that mean the most.

They are the reason I don’t panic when your toddler runs off mid-session or your baby refuses to smile — trust me, I’ve seen it all at home first. 😂

My kids don’t just make me a mom…
they make me the photographer I am today. 📸✨
