Of course, we always love working with puppies and kittens, but do you know what holds an extra special place in my heart? Senior pets!

It's such a joy and honor to photograph senior pets with their old souls, wisdom, and many stories of a life well lived.

My goal is to capture their essence and personality in photographs AND give them a fun day filled with their favorite things.

Many clients have said afterward that it was “the best day ever” and I’m always so happy to have created such a memorable experience for both people and pets!

I know these portraits live on as beautiful tributes to their lives and love and have places of honor on walls and coffee tables.

It really is a special experience to work with so many senior pets and my team and I treasure the memories we make with our clients too! 💖

What's unfolding in Afghanistan is truly a tragedy for the people of Afghanistan. My heart is breaking thinking about the all the people affected including Animal rescue charity Nowzad founded by former British Marine, Pen Farthing. Nowzad is currently trying to get Pen and their staff out of Kabul. The situation is dire and urgent as the Taliban has literally moved into the building next door.

I had the pleasure of meeting Pen 5 years ago at the Dallas Pet Expo when we were on a pet professionals panel together. His mission and the difference he’s made is simply astounding.

Ever since, I’ve followed Nowzad, donated, attended a Dallas fundraiser event, and even was fortunate enough to meet and photograph a sweet Afghanistan rescue dog with her forever family.

I'm deeply saddened and worried for the staff and animals in Kabul. All I can do from here is share, donate and keep them in my prayers for a miracle to get the dogs, cats, Pen, and Afghan staff members and their dependents safely out of Afghanistan in the next 48 hours.
