A little glimpse into this sweet in-home newborn session 🤍

I often get asked how securing a newborn session works since babies come when they're ready. No worries, as we approach your due date, we stay in touch closely so you can let me know when baby arrives. I typically set your newborns up for 7-10 days postpartum, but can do them anytime up to 6 weeks. All that's due at booking is a retainer fee and completed contract.

You can also save 10% when you bundle any of the 3 session types - Maternity, Newborn, or Fresh 48.

August is finally here, and I seriously can’t wait to watch my beautiful cousin and her husband become parents this month.

I’ll be on standby, hoping I get the honor of capturing their sweet girl’s arrival, and I honestly couldn’t be more excited. We’ve prayed for this day for 9 years, and it’s hard to believe it’s finally here.

There’s just something so special about maternity sessions. They hold so much excitement and anticipation for what’s about to begin.

Clay’s mom passed away five years ago, and during our session, a butterfly landed on Amber. It was one of those little moments that makes you stop. This sweet baby girl would’ve been her first grandchild, and I like to think she’s still finding little ways to remind them she had a hand in this.

I always love the in-between moments.

The few minutes before the ceremony.

Your feet already hurt from portraits with your bridesmaids.

Your dress is too full to sit in a chair, so you end up on the floor in the A/C, taking in the last few quiet minutes before everything changes.

You probably won't remember this moment happening.

You probably won't remember me taking the photo, either.

But years from now, this is the image that will take you right back.

Not because it's perfectly posed, but because it's honest.

It remembers how the room felt.

The anticipation. The stillness.

The excitement that hadn't quite turned into reality yet.

The portraits will always have their place.

But it's these little, unplanned moments that tell the real story of your wedding day. 🤍

June was a busy one for us! 2 weddings, 1 elopement, 1 vow renewal, 3 newborns, and 1 milestone session. Most of my days are spent wearing 3 boys out, swimming, playing, and squeezing in some editing! And just like that we're in July!

I can't believe it's time to start thinking about fall sessions, and Christmas minis. I have limited weekend golden hour availability open for the rest of 2026. If you're thinking about updating your family portraits this fall, let's chat soon so we can pin down a date for you!
