Eleven years ago, I started taking photography classes online at night while working my full time job in healthcare. When I started, all I was really hoping for was to learn how to take better photos of my rapidly growing toddler.
In a span of two years I took over two dozen month-long classes. Many of the instructors I learned from had the title “Click Pro”. Learning from all of these amazing photographers made me realize just how much goes into taking beautiful pictures, and man it was nowhere near as easy as I thought it was going to be. I remember seeing their work and thinking how far that level felt from the level I was at.
Last week, I was accepted into Click Pro Elite.
On my first submission 🙏🏻 more than ten years in the making.
Over the years, I’ve continued to learn in different spaces from amazingly talented mentors and teachers, each one helping to shape my work in their own way. I’m really grateful for all of it.
But the invitation to join Click Pro feels especially full-circle.
I’m proud of the work it took to get here, and thankful for every person who’s been part of the process - whether you’ve been in front of my camera or quietly following along.
This is a big one for me 🤍 I’m so thankful for the whole journey 🙏🏻
