Two separate studios can be rented by the hour and each offers private restrooms and changing rooms, hair and makeup stations, rotational props, and interior rooms for controlled lighting for headshots. It is located in McKinney, Texas and is walking distance to the historical downtown square shops and restaurants. It is the ideal place for all types of photography and is an amazing location for photography workshops.

From Christmas cocktails to CHRISTMAS JAMMIES! 🎄💕✨

Because what’s a girls’ Christmas party without a pajama party to end the night?!

For the next part of our October styled shoot, we traded the fancy dresses and heels for festive Christmas jammies, fuzzy slippers, and the COZIEST blankets!

And can we talk about how fun these girls are?! 😍

🎀 CHÉRIE LANE brought the most adorable Christmas pajamas! The colors, prints, and little details were absolute perfection against our Christmas sets!

☁️ Minky Couture brought the softest, dreamiest blankets that made everything feel extra cozy and luxurious. Seriously, you need one of these in your life!

I love how this shoot shows just how versatile our Christmas scenes can be. From dressed-up holiday glam to cozy Christmas mornings with your favorite people, there’s room for ALL the holiday magic at Lemon Drop Studios!

A CHRISTMAS COCKTAIL PARTY, but make it Lemon Drop! 🍸🎄✨

Okay, NOW can we talk about the beautiful ladies who brought our October styled shoot to LIFE?!

When I first started dreaming up this shoot, I knew I wanted something that felt like a glamorous Christmas cocktail party. Think festive dresses, pretty drinks, beautiful details, and a whole lot of holiday magic!

When I shared the idea with Sydney McArthur , she mentioned she had a fun group of friends who were former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and would LOVE to model.

And I was immediately like… LET’S DO IT! 😂🥂

And WOW, did these ladies understand the assignment!

From the gorgeous outfits to the fun, festive energy they brought into every scene, they made this vision even better than I imagined.

And can we give another round of applause to our incredible vendors?! Every single one of them knocked the “Christmas Cocktail Party” theme out of the park. The florals, the rentals, the drinks, the styling… EVERYTHING!

This is exactly why I love our monthly styled shoots. Bringing talented people together, dreaming up something a little different, and creating magic inside Lemon Drop Studios.

I don’t know how we’re going to top this October shoot, but we sure had fun trying to make it unforgettable! ❤️✨

HOW will we ever top our October styled shoot?! 🎄🍷✨

Before we show off the beautiful models who brought these scenes to life, can we take a moment for THE DETAILS?!

When I approached Kristen with Events by Kristen, I told her I was dreaming of a Christmas tablescape straight out of Southern Living or Martha Stewart. The kind of timeless, beautiful Christmas inspiration I remember flipping through in my grandmother’s magazines growing up.

And THIS is why Kristen is so good at what she does. She took that vision and made it something extraordinary!

We had our custom Christmas scenes as the backdrop, but these talented vendors took everything to another level.

🌹 R. Love Floral — Raquel absolutely outdid herself! Romantic, luxurious, and the most stunning floral details.

🍷 Posh Couture Rentals — Every piece Kristen selected was perfection. The quality, colors, and thoughtful details were beyond beautiful.

🥂 The Proper Pour — Delicious drinks, stunning presentation, and an incredible attention to detail!

But my favorite part of it all? The magic of collaboration.

We started with a loose vision, let everyone bring their own creativity and expertise to the table, and ended up with something more beautiful than I could have ever planned alone.

Such a sweet reminder that sometimes the best things happen when you let talented people shine at what they do. 🤍

✨ SAVE THIS ONE — we’re showing you how we made the viral ball garlands you’ve been seeing all over our Lemon Drop Christmas sets this year!

They look custom, expensive and complicated…but they’re actually SO easy to make. And bonus: using ornaments instead of foam balls makes them much more affordable. 🙌🏻

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
🥤 Drink of choice — obviously
✨ Poly/spandex velvet blend fabric — ours is from Hobby Lobby
🎣 Fishing line
🎄 Ornaments in whatever sizes you love — we mixed large + small
✂️ Scissors
🔥 Hot glue gun — optional, but recommended!

HOW TO MAKE IT:

Start by cutting one long strip of fabric.

Think about the length of the space you’re decorating AND whether you want your garland to swag or hang down on the ends. For example, for an 8-foot mantle, we’d cut about a 10-foot strip so we have extra fabric to play with on each side.

For larger ornaments, cut your fabric approximately 12 inches wide. For smaller ornaments, around 8 inches wide works great.

Place your first ornament inside the fabric and pull the fabric TIGHT around it. Tie fishing line in a knot at the base of the ornament like we show in the video. Then tie again above it so the ornament is secured on both sides.

Add your next ornament, pull the fabric tight again, tie it off and repeat, repeat, repeat until your entire strip turns into the cutest oversized ball garland. ✨

A few Lemon Drop tips:
Use a mixture of ornament sizes to give it that full, high-end look.

Hot glue the fabric seams closed around each ball if you’re worried about the ornaments slipping out.

And BUY ORNAMENTS instead of foam balls! They’re typically cheaper, lightweight and work perfectly for this.

We’ve used these all over our Christmas sets this year and LOVE how much dimension they add. And once you know how to make them, you’ll start looking around wondering what else needs a ball garland. 😂

The final Christmas reveal is here… and Side A might just be our coziest space yet. 🎄🤍

We wanted this side to feel like Christmas at home — classic, warm, beautiful, and full of those little moments you’ll want to remember.

Bare feet + Christmas jammies.
Everyone piled together and laughing.
Little ones curled up on the bed.
Beautiful holiday outfits for a statement family portrait.
The kind of photos that feel just as special years from now as they do today. ✨

But the best part? Side A is still Side A. 🤍

Everything has been designed so you can move pieces, rearrange the holiday details, create your own setups, or pull Christmas away completely when you need a more timeless, non-holiday look. Just like we did today with CHÉRIE LANE 😍 aren’t these outfits the cutest too??

😂 The “how hard can it be?” gene strikes again…

Owning a photography studio is basically having an idea, saying “I could probably make that…” and then finding yourself surrounded by power tools, fabric, paint, garland and a project that became approximately 47 steps more complicated than anticipated. 😂🎄

But somehow… we keep doing it. And honestly, I wouldn’t have Lemon Drop any other way. ✨

AND the Christmas fun isn’t over yet! 👀

We still have one more Side A transformation up our sleeves, and we’re saving that reveal for September 30th! 🎄✨

Because apparently the “how hard can it be?” gene also comes with the “okay but what if we did ONE MORE thing…” gene. 😂

This is the part that makes all the hard work worth it. 🤍🎄

We spend months dreaming, designing, building, painting, sourcing and styling these spaces…but eventually, they stop being our Christmas sets and become the backdrop to your family’s Christmas memories.

Little hands holding ornaments. Siblings piled together on the couch. Babies celebrating their first Christmas. Kids who somehow look a whole year older than they did in last year’s photos. And mom and dad actually getting IN the frame, too. 🥹

That’s the magic we’re really creating these spaces for.

And this year’s Side B gives you so much room to make your session feel like you. Dress everyone up in velvets, bows and holiday plaids. Keep it classic and neutral with creams, camel and soft greens. Go cozy with sweaters and pajamas. Or bring in color and let it play off all the rich greens, reds, pinks and golds throughout the sets.

With four completely different scenes, you can create a gallery that feels timeless, playful, cozy and magical all in one session. ✨

Because years from now, you probably won’t remember all the work that went into getting everyone dressed and out the door for Christmas photos…

but you’ll have the photographs that show exactly who your family was in this season. 🤍

And knowing we get to create a little piece of the backdrop for those memories? That makes every late night and every tiny detail worth it.
