historical downtown square shops and restaurants. It is the ideal place for all types of photography and is an amazing location for photography workshops.

My favorite part of creating sets isn’t designing them.

It’s watching someone step into them for the first time and seeing them light up. ✨

When we were dreaming up summer, I kept picturing senior girls. The excitement of senior year. The friendships. The confidence. The milestone.

I wanted something colorful, playful, and memorable enough to feel like a celebration.

So when the greenhouse and beach scene were finally finished, I knew exactly who I wanted to call.

is one of the most sought-after senior photographers in our area, and beyond being incredibly talented, she’s just genuinely sweet as pie. 💕 She pours so much into her seniors and creates such a fun experience for them. When I pitched the idea of getting her rep team together to help us kick off summer, she was immediately on board.

And honestly? They were exactly who I pictured when we were building it all.

The outfits. The energy. The laughter. The friendships. The confidence.

Everything about the shoot felt like summer and everything senior year should be.

I couldn’t have asked for a better group to officially kick off the season. ☀️🌺🏖️

This year, we wanted to create more than just a greenhouse setup. We wanted to create an entire summer destination.

Step inside our Santorini-inspired greenhouse overflowing with vibrant pink blooms, then wander into the garden where you’ll find our custom-built lifeguard shacks, oversized beach balls, playful summer details, and matching porch accents designed to make every session feel like summer vacation.

From the beginning, this installation has been a true labor of love. Every flower, every painted stripe, every beach ball, and every detail was carefully chosen to bring a little extra joy and color to your photos this season.

Summer setup days 3 & 4 are officially in the books... and that means SUMMER IS READY ☀️✨

Day three looked a little different for me because my team and I were in Fort Worth for a large corporate photo shoot. It was our third year photographing this incredible company, so there was no way I was missing it.

Thankfully, when you’ve worked alongside someone for as many projects as we have, trust comes easy. Raquel took my wild ideas and ran with them while I was gone, finishing the greenhouse and bringing all of the floral details to life perfectly. 🌸

Day four was all about the final push. Last-minute supply runs, furniture pickups, moving things around for the hundredth time, one more coffee stop to keep us going, and pulling all the final details together.

There is something so satisfying about watching months of ideas, mood boards, and planning finally become a reality. And walking out of the studio knowing summer is officially here at Lemon Drop? The best feeling.

We’re trying not to give away too much in these behind-the-scenes videos, but trust me when I say the full reveal is worth the wait. 👀☀️

Summer setup day two ☀️🌧️✨

Today included battling crazy Texas rain storms, making another run for all the summer setup essentials, finishing the lifeguard shacks (which feels SO exciting 😭👏🏼), and getting everything fully prepped inside the greenhouse and Side B for Raquel to come work her floral magic.

Honestly, seeing all the pieces finally starting to come together is the best feeling after weeks of planning, building, painting, moving things around, and constantly tweaking tiny details.

Once Raquel finishes the florals, all we have left is adding the fabric wall to Side B and deciding on any final little details we want to add before reveal time 👀

We are officially in the final stretch now and I cannot WAIT for you guys to see what summer at Lemon Drop is about to look like

Starting May 14th, Lemon Drop Studios will officially offer 30 minute timeslots for ANY part of the studio through the end of summer — weekdays and weekends! 🤍

This is perfect for:
• High school seniors
• Quick family sessions
• Branding + headshots
• Content creation
• Mini maternity sessions
• Practice shoots + creative sessions
• And so much more

We also know so many photographers are constantly learning, testing new techniques, and wanting a space to practice without committing to a full hour rental — so this is SUCH a fun option to keep creating before the busy fall season arrives ✨

But wait… the BIGGEST news 👀

Starting mid-September through December 31st, we’ll have 30 Minute Wednesdays every single week! That means you’ll be able to book quick 30 minute timeslots on Wednesdays for any part of the studio during our busiest holiday season 🎄✨
