Eva | Class of 2027

There’s something pretty special about getting to photograph the daughter of one of your childhood BFF’s.

I’ve known Skelly since we were in middle school, long before either of us could have imagined that one day I’d be photographing her daughter’s senior portraits.

So getting to document this milestone for Eva was incredibly special to me, and seeing the beautiful, kind, confident young woman she’s become absolutely warms my heart.

Eva, I hope you always look back at these images and remember not just how beautiful you were, but also remember how you felt about this exciting milestone and all the possibilities ahead of you.

🎓Class of 2027🎓

Senior year doesn’t slow down. It disappears.

One minute you’re walking into your first day of senior year. The next, you’re standing in a cap and gown wondering how it went so fast.

That’s why I believe senior portraits should be more than a yearbook photo.

They should capture who you are before everything changes, your personality, your passions, your accomplishments, your style, and the people and places that shaped you.

Because years from now, you won’t just see what you looked like.

You’ll remember who you were.
You’ll remember what mattered.
You’ll remember how this season felt.

Class of 2027: This chapter is already moving.

Let’s make sure you have something worth holding onto when it’s gone.

I’d be honored to tell your story.

Colten | Class of 2027

I first met Colten and his family through school, but getting to know them even better through AAU basketball has made being part of this chapter incredibly special.

And those eyes, seriously! Add in the biggest, brightest smile and the sweetest personality, and you’ve got one pretty amazing young man!

I’m so excited to watch this next chapter unfold and watching him on the football field this year.

Colten, thank you for trusting me to capture this season of your life. It truly means so much to me to be a small part of these milestones and to have the opportunity to watch you grow into the young man you’re becoming.

A couple of hours with Jenessis. 💗

Yes, she’s absolutely gorgeous, but honestly, that’s the least interesting thing about her.

She’s smart. Strong. Humble. And carries herself with a confidence that doesn’t need to be loud.

Her images speak for themselves. What you don’t always see in the photos is the incredible person standing behind them.

Jenessis, thank you for allowing me to capture a little piece of who you are.

Derrick | Class of 2027 🤍

I’ve known Derrick since ~8th grade, when he and Alex were teammates on the same AAU basketball team. So when his parents reached out and asked me to capture his Senior Experience, I was genuinely excited, and honored to be part of this milestone.

And what made this session even more special? We got to capture it right on his family’s farm.

It is absolutely gorgeous, and it gave us the perfect backdrop to create portraits that feel personal, authentic, and completely Derrick.

Derrick, thank you for trusting my process, going along with all the awkwardness, and being willing to try whatever I threw your way. You truly are an amazing human being, and I’m so grateful I got to capture this chapter of your life.

I can’t wait to see where life takes you next.

Eli | Class of 2027

I’ve had the privilege of watching Eli grow up over the years, through basketball, football, and now the sport that has truly captured his heart: baseball. ⚾️

I’ll admit, baseball isn’t the sport I know best, but Eli was happy to keep me educated along the way. I also learned one other very important thing during our session, Eli does NOT like bees. 🐝 We had a few laughs & that’s all I’ll say about that!

Eli has been friends with Alex since we moved to Cottage Grove, which means I’ve had the pretty special opportunity to watch him grow from a kid into the young man he is today which is part of the reason for the happy tears behind my lens. 😊

There’s just something special about photographing these kids as they grow up, and getting to be a small part of those milestones will never get old.

Eli, I’m so grateful I got to capture this milestone for you. Thank you for trusting me with these memories.

The Vosberg Family | From the sidelines to family portraits!

I’ve known the Vosberg’s since for before Maddox was taller than everyone!! 😂😂

Over the years, I’ve had the chance to photograph Zander at football and basketball games, and yes, I’ve managed to sneak a few candid photos of Mom, Dad & Maddox along the way too. So when they asked me to capture their family portraits, I was genuinely honored.

Sunday night was everything I love about family sessions, lots of laughs, genuine moments, a little bit of chaos, and so much fun. These are the moments that make my job so incredibly special.

Because someday, the kids will be even taller, life will look completely different, and these little moments of right now will become the memories you hold onto.

Thank you, Vosberg family, for trusting me to capture your family and create these timeless portraits for you. It was such a joy spending the evening with all of you!

Zander | Class of 2027

All of my senior sessions stay with me long after the camera is packed away, and Sunday evening with Zander and his family was no exception. Some sessions are about creating beautiful portraits. Others become moments you’ll carry with you. This one was definitely both.

I found myself tearing up a couple of times, not because he’s graduating, but because I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow into the smart, kind, handsome, and confident young man he is today.

I still remember when he was in middle school. While I sat in the pickup line waiting for Alex after school, Zander would always wave at me as he walked by. Every single time, I remember thinking, I can’t believe he even noticed me sitting here. It was such a small gesture, but it always made me smile. Yep, he made me feel special. 😊

Fast forward a few years, and there I was, documenting one of the biggest milestones of his life.

Zander, thank you for trusting me to capture this milestone and going with the flow even when it felt super weird!! It has truly been an honor, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you next.

Nolan | Class of 2027

I’ve known Nolan and his family since he was in 4th grade, so seeing him now, getting ready to be a SENIOR in high school, is one of those moments that makes this job extra special.

When Ashley reached out about capturing this milestone, I was truly honored. She and Nolan gave me free rein to choose the locations, with one request from Nolan: his Audi needed to make an appearance. 😉

So we found a couple of spots close to the studio that fit the vibe he was going for, and honestly, they couldn’t have been more perfect.

This session is such a good reminder that you don’t always need a picture-perfect location to create incredible senior portraits. Sometimes it’s an empty parking ramp, an interesting wall, a little bit of texture, or simply the way the light hits a space. It’s about knowing how to see the potential in a location and using it to tell your senior’s story.

And when you combine the right locations with a senior’s personality, the result is portraits that feel like them.

Nolan, you’ve grown into one incredible young man, and I’m so honored I got to capture this chapter for you. Senior year is going to fly by, so make it one to remember.

Austin | Class of 2027

Senior sessions are so meaningful, not just because of the portraits we create, but because they tell a story that’s been years in the making, like Austin’s.

Last week I had the privilege of photographing this milestone for him. He’s been playing basketball with my son since they were in 5th/6th grade, so I’ve had the chance to watch him grow from a young athlete with big dreams into an incredible young man who’s now preparing for the next chapter.

Before we ever picked up the camera, Austin had two specific requests for his session: a cool graffiti wall and an outdoor basketball court with a chain-link fence behind it. We spent quite a bit of time searching for the perfect locations, but in the end, the best one had been there all along.

We found ourselves back at the park at his middle school, a place where he spent countless hours playing ball. Standing on that court, surrounded by so many memories, felt like the perfect way to tell his story. Sometimes the most meaningful locations aren’t the most impressive, they’re the ones that remind us where it all began.

As I photographed him, it hit me that before he leaves to play college basketball, he still has one more high school season to enjoy! Moments like these are exactly why I love senior photography.

These portraits aren’t just about celebrating senior year. They’re about preserving who these young adults have become before life carries them toward new dreams, new cities, and new adventures.

Austin, thank you for trusting me to capture this milestone. I can’t wait to cheer you on during your final high school season, both in the classroom and on the court. Your future is incredibly bright, and I have no doubt you’re going to accomplish amazing things.
