Ok- new season, new behind the scenes post.

So these are me (Amanda), in my space, taken by my husband Zane who I am mildly obsessed with 😫

He encouraged me to start Wildfire in 2022, watered all of these flowers all summer so our girls and I would be happy, built the little chicken coop you see in the background, and is the greatest gem I ever discovered & get to call my own. There's nothing around our little farmstead that isn't a result of me wanting it and him doing it- I keep a broom handy to swat away other women who may discover what a freaking treasure he is.

Photography is my side-gig, I am a full-time Realtor and when it comes to real estate work, I say "no" to absolutely nothing. I am obsessed with having a career I love and I'm a diehard for houses. Walls hold memories (photos you hang AND the ones only the people within them know about), they protect you from the outside world in a way, and they are your literal comfort zone. Nobody will tell me otherwise- and although I am perfectly aware we can't take them with us when we go, I am all about comfy little spaces people get to call their own until we're walking on streets of gold.

A few other knickknack facts about me:

🍅 I am basically terrified of the ocean.
🍅 There's a 12-year age gap between my littlest sister and I, and I have called her Pookie her whole life. I can barely even remember her real name, and now most of my friends, my husband, and my children call her that. I'm certain I inherited some trait from my father that causes me to constantly give people nicknames.
🍅 Cannot do math or technology. Don't want to, don't care.
🍅 I leave my house with a full coffee mug, no lid, pretty much every day.
🍅 I knew I was going to marry Zane when I was helping him unpack some totes one day and I saw how worn and old and ratty his clothes were. I knew he was just simple and humble, and it turns out he is both of those and a billion other things (back off, I have a broom)
