Autumn Lynne Photography

Autumn Lynne Photography I help couples elope in the mountains of Idaho by providing elopement photography + planning. I enjoy taking pictures that speak to the natural beauty of life.

I (Autumn) live along a beautiful river in central Idaho with a wonderful husband, a handsome son, two dogs and a slightly deranged cat. I hold a BA from the University of Idaho in Psychology and Communication Studies. Ten years ago I picked up my first camera and fell in love with visual storytelling. I am a natural light photographer with a focus in portrait and wedding photography. I am based o

ut of Riggins, Idaho. This small town is located several hours north of Boise. I practice on location photography. This means you pick the location and I come to you. I am available to travel wherever your wanderings take you.

Throwback to this beautiful day in McCall for Erin and Will. When Erin and Will were searching for a place to get married, they knew they wanted somewhere beautiful but not too crowded, so McCall felt like the perfect fit! The most important thing to them was experiencing the beautiful scenery and taking in the day as much as possible while surrounded by their family and friends.

I am a big proponent of including activities in your elopement day as a way of personalizing your celebration, and these two picked a preceremony horseback ride! Donna and Eric traveled all the way from New York to get married in Idaho, which made it extra fun to show them around the beautiful landscapes I call home. They worked with Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch to take a scenic ride to a ridge that overlooks the Sawtooth Mountains. It was such a wonderful way to spend the morning of their wedding day, getting to see the rolling landscapes from such a unique perspective—and creating an unforgettable experience for the two of them to look back on.

Scenes from a first look that felt a little wild.

It’s hard to describe how the Sawtooths feel on a stormy spring day. The words wild, unhinged, and peaceful come to mind. K and N didn’t mind the rain or the wind. They just wanted to meet each other in the mountains that brought them together.

People ask me what my hobbies are, and I usually just smile because I turned my hobby into a career.

This isn’t just a side project for me. I wake up thinking about work. I fall asleep editing galleries. I drive thousands of miles every year for weddings. I’m constantly thinking about locations and dreaming up ideas for my couples. I still get nervous before every wedding, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

When you hire me, I’m with you from the very beginning. I’m not just showing up with a camera. I’m there to help you create a wedding day that feels honest, beautiful, and true to you. I’ll celebrate right alongside you while preserving the moments that matter most.

If you’re looking for someone who dives in wholeheartedly, guides you through the planning process, and genuinely loves photographing couples in beautiful places, I might be your girl.

Many think sunrise starts the moment the sun peeks over the horizon, but some of the most beautiful light happens before and after that moment.

✨ Blue Hour
Blue hour occurs before sunrise, when the sun is still below the horizon. The landscape is bathed in cool blue and purple tones, creating a dreamy, peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for lantern photos.

✨ Alpenglow
Just before the sun rises, mountain peaks and high landscapes can catch a warm pink, orange, or red glow known as alpenglow. This magical light happens when sunlight reflects through the atmosphere and illuminates the landscape before direct sunlight reaches it. It’s brief, stunning, and one of nature’s most beautiful displays.

✨ Sunrise
As the sun breaks the horizon, golden light begins to fill the landscape. The soft, directional light creates beautiful depth, flattering skin tones, and a warm glow that photographers love!

One of the reasons I love recommending sunrise sessions is that you get to experience all three of these lighting conditions in a single shoot. From the cool tones of blue hour to the fiery colors of alpenglow and the warmth of sunrise, every few minutes brings a completely different feel.

The early alarm clock is worth it when you’re rewarded with some of the most beautiful light nature has to offer!

This couple wanted a spinning photo, so I shot it as a GIF too. What do you think of the result?

Some say fairytales are just stories, but Christian and Sarah are proof that a fairytale can be handwritten in the mountains of Idaho. What began on a volleyball court in 2017 blossomed into a sunflower field proposal, and finally, an intentional elopement surrounded by the mountains they love most.

Their vision was simple: exchange vows privately at sunrise, spend time with their pup Polly, and then celebrate with family. We brought that vision to life with a sunrise timeline that gave them the early morning hours to simply be together before joining their loved ones for a mid-morning ceremony in Ponderosa State Park and brunch in McCall.

A few moments I loved from this elopement:
— Sarah and her dad shared a quiet First Look before the ceremony.
— Polly, their shaggy pup, proudly took on the role of Dog of Honor.
— Sarah’s dad walked her to Christian, then officiated their ceremony.

Can you picture your own fairytale wedding? I’d love to support you through the process of creating a wedding day that feels deeply personal and true to your relationship. I’ve helped 120+ couples elope in Idaho, providing not only photography, but also planning support and guidance every step of the way. Head to the link in my bio to inquire.
