After more than 20 years behind the camera — and really, quite a bit longer than that — I can honestly say I’ve loved every minute of this career.

Photography has given me the opportunity to meet so many cool people, celebrate important milestones, and create images that become part of my clients’ stories. It’s a privilege I never take for granted, and I love it even more today than when I first started.

This summer, I took some time off to spend with my girls, and while it was great to have some quality time with my family, I’m now feeling refreshed, inspired, and excited to get back behind the camera.

My fall calendar is officially open, and I’m ready to create beautiful, meaningful portraits for High School Seniors, Headshot clients, and families.

Actor Headshots...I have a little experience when it comes to creating Headshots for young actors....about 15 years worth with my own kids alone, but also for many many others over the years :).

Whether your teen or child is auditioning for agencies, shows, or college programs, let me capture them in a way that I KNOW will reflect their style and personality.

My own high school Senior needed Headshots for her upcoming college audition process, and wanted to focus mostly on smiling images for this purpose...we'll do another round later with more "expressive" looks for actual casting purposes. So for now, Abby's College Audition Headshots! :)

Seniors 2027 (and parents)...Each year, the most common questions about Senior Sessions are:

"When should we schedule?"

The answer is...SOON! Fall is ideal because the weather is better (spring is so unpredictable in South Texas) and because schedules are generally easier to work around in the fall...the closer graduation gets, the crazier Seniors' schedules get!

"How do I choose a location?"

I always like for my clients to find a unique location. Sometimes that means asking a friend or family member if you can "borrow" their backyard or property for your session. The Must Haves for me are: available shade, interesting features (such as gates, walls, outdoor stairways, water features, etc..) multiple spots for a variety of looks, and plenty of space to move around. If you can't think of a location, I have a few that I like to use, but I prefer clients find their own when possible.

"What do I wear? How many outfits should I bring?"

For boys, usually 1-2 outfits are plenty, and for girls, generally 2-3 outfits are pretty common. For girls, I like to have a variety of looks, and definitely prefer at least one outfit with pants or jeans for posing purposes. The rest is totally up to you! There really are no rules, but too many outfits can cause things to get a bit overwhelming. Oh, and make sure you choose (order) your outfits in plenty of time before your session, and make sure to try outfits on ahead of time in case something needs alterations or you decide that you don't like it after all!

"How do I schedule?"

Does your High School student need Headshots? Schedule a quick and easy Studio Headshot Session, and you won't have to worry about searching for a great picture to turn in for applications, awards, auditions...the possibilities are endless! But one thing is for sure, it's SO much easier when you have a few great images to choose from, readily available when they inevitably will need one at the last minute! Trust me on this one!
