Here is my fall calendar! Homecoming Minis are $75. Family sessions, Halloween, and Christmas WITHOUT Santa is $185. With Santa is $225. The Trash Talk minis (see 2 posts below this, parent & child) will be addressed more tomorrow. I will have prices and will probably need to set those up on different dates depending on the sport.

There's been a lot of discussion going around about a recent court ruling on possessing images of minors, so I want to address it plainly.

First: it is absolutely still illegal to possess sexual images of real children. That has not changed and is not up for debate.

What happened is that a federal appeals court found our older laws haven't kept up with AI. Because of that gap, one man's charge for privately possessing AI-generated images — images that did not depict any real child — was dismissed. He still faces separate charges for producing and distributing that material. The judge who wrote the opinion said he felt bound by older precedent and asked the Supreme Court to revisit the issue, given how far the technology has come.

At LaMon Photography, we only post a picture — adult or child — with your permission. Say yes, say no, change your mind later. It will never affect the quality of your session or how I treat you.

I have deep respect for the photographers taking this a step further to protect our youth. I don't personally find it necessary at this point, but I understand and support anyone who does.

My position is: remove predators from society, not children. This isn’t up for debate on my page so comments are turned off.
