The old Middle Georgia Speedway in Bryon GA. It opened in 1966, the first race, the Speedy Morelock 200 NASCARGrand National stock car race, was won by Richard Petty with an average speed of 82.023 miles per hour which set a new half-mile speed record. I got to drive a few laps around the old track in my Ford F150, I got up to 72 miles per hour, not bad for an old One Eyed Fat Man!
