My beach minis are completely booked for tonight and sept 4th! All other sessions will have to be full sessions at $250. This will be the last year at that price for a full session, as I haven't raised my prices in many years. It won't be a big change, and I'll still offer some minis for affordability.
A lot will be changing for 2027. It took me so long to get over my anxiety meeting new people, posing and taking charge, editing, shooting in uncomfortable spaces and light..etc. I have overcome many mental obstacles and I finally feel like I deserve to charge a little bit more. I'm going to be honest, I see other photographers with the same style, charging $500+ for an hour photoshoot AND limiting the amount of photos. (I will NOT be charging that much next year). I see that and think, good for them! I wish I could have the courage to do that. With my prices being so low, I have become busier than I could imagine, which is amazing. It also has become very stressful trying to catch up with editing on time. I have to go through 500-900 photos per session, and having multiple sessions per week my computer just can't handle all of that at a time. Photoshoots are not a necessity, they are a luxury item. While I still want to offer affordable photos in 2027, I want to mostly offer good quality shoots that take time, thought, energy and patience. While I do offer that now, I sometimes feel rushed in editing, which I hate. I also need to start saying no and be more firm as well. I have done shoots that I knew wouldn't produce great results that do not reflect the quality of my work. If I make a necessary recommendation and it is rejected, then I feel like I will have to turn it down because it won't reflect how my work should turn out.
Anyways, I know that raising my prices will be a turn off for some, but that's okay. In the past I've tried to be everyone's photographer, and that's just not possible. I know most will stay rooting for me as my clients, (hopefully 🥺) while other's may try to find someone cheaper. I don't personally feel like my photos are "cheap". You can blow up these bad boys to 20x24 prints and the quality is amazing thanks to my expensive camera lol. Prices are undecided for now, like I said it won't be a big change, but there will be changes. Thanks for reading 💜
