Follow for new work and updates. Capturing the soul of nature, one frame at a time! I'm Kristen, a passionate landscape photographer specializing in capturing the raw beauty, mood, and spatial harmony of the natural world. My work highlights the intricate shapes, contrasts, and fine details that make each location unique—whether it's the rugged coastline, towering mountains, or the quiet majesty o

f a lighthouse standing against the elements. Through my lens, I strive to bring the emotions and sensations of each scene to life, creating images that are not just visually stunning but deeply immersive. Collectors describe my prints as serene, powerful, and richly textural—designed to transport you to the very moment they were captured. In addition to fine art prints, I offer photography workshops to help others develop their creative vision and technical skills. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned photographer, my workshops focus on composition, light, and storytelling to help you capture nature in its purest form. Follow along for new work, behind-the-scenes stories, and workshop updates! Contact me for inquiries, commissions, or workshop details.

It’s , so today I’m sharing some galactic images with you. My grandfather worked in Mission Control for NASA in the 60’s and that made us grandkids big space and sci-fi fans. Here’s my way of paying homage to the spirit of discovery and wonder that lie in all of us but especially my grandfather.

There is something deeply rewarding about not only capturing a beautiful moment, but learning how to shape it into the image you truly envisioned.

On April 11, 2026, I’ll be partnering with Rick Berk Photography for our Capture & Edit at the Nubble workshop! We’ll start the morning photographing sunrise at Cape Neddick Lighthouse, then head to Kittery for a guided editing class where you’ll learn how to turn your raw file into a finished image with stronger mood, light, and impact. I’ll be sharing editing techniques from my own workflow (including wave blending) and we’ll both be offering individualized feedback throughout the day. This workshop was designed to help you understand step by step how to move with intention from a strong capture to a finished photograph. Our last class sold out, and with this one capped at 10 photographers, space is going quickly.

Happy Birthday, Maine! 🌲 🌊

On this day in 1820, Maine branched off from Massachusetts and became the Pine Tree state! The rugged coastline is what I love most about the land here so I’ve included a few of my favorites below that focus on that. I hope you all have a great start to your week!

Happy International Women’s Day! Today is our day to celebrate all the dreams we have and the amazing ways in which we’ve been able to achieve them. I’m so proud that I’ve made a career of my art and am able to show my daughter how rewarding it is to challenge yourself to hard things and smash your own expectations of yourself.

My thanks to you all for being here for my journey!

The response I received most when I told people I was moving to Maine was, “Good luck with those winters!” As I wrap up my first winter as a Mainer, I’m happy to report that I’ve experienced much worse during my 14 years living in Colorado. Three years ago I took Rick Berk Photography with me to Rocky Mountain National Park for a week of exploring the frozen alpine lakes and tundra. Here are a few of my favorites from that trip!

Happy Birthday, Acadia National Park! Of all the national parks I’ve been to, I’ve spent the most time in Acadia and it’s easy to see why. Its quiet yet rugged beauty stole my heart during my first visit in 2018 and I’ve been making several visits a year ever since. There is truly nowhere else like it. Can’t wait for my next visit, hopefully next month to begin my Milky Way chase for the year!

Happy birthday to me! As I enter a new decade, I’m reflecting on the last one that saw me starting my business and endeavoring to take my art seriously. Thank you to everyone who made these last few years unforgettable!! Here are a few shots in my favorite shade of purple. 💜💜💜

I struck out with sea smoke this weekend but I have been fortunate to be able to get out for some beautiful winter coastal scenes in the past few days! Last week, Rick Berk Photography and I took a drive to explore my new neck of the woods and find some fresh snow.

I had only been to Owls Head lighthouse once before, at dusk during a snowstorm. During that visit I was lucky enough to meet the keeper and his son and spend a pleasant (albeit blustery) half hour with them. This morning I arrived early and found a single set of footprints leading straight to the tower. It felt like a small, steady reminder that someone is always showing up, even when nobody’s watching. ☺
