🔧 Think replacing a lens mount is just a few screws? Think again.
This Sony A9 III from Wake Forest University came across my bench needing a lens mount replacement—and in this video, I’m showing just how far you actually have to go into the camera to get the job done properly.
On a flagship body like the A9 III, the lens mount isn’t simply something you unscrew from the front and swap out. There are multiple layers, components, connections, and precision parts that have to come apart before you can even get where you need to be.
And remember: that mount is responsible for keeping some VERY expensive glass perfectly aligned with the sensor. 📸
This is the side of professional camera equipment most photographers never get to see.
