Well it is spring flower time and who likes the color purple? I found this tulip looking flower and wanted to do some macro photography. ( I am not that good with flower types..LOL) So the flower was a deep rich purple color and had white tips and outside petals. Here I used my 105mm macro lens and metered on the center darker area of the flower to get the results that you see. A Macro lens will only give you a very small area that is in focus. And the highlighted areas gave me some interesting results. Nothing like macro photography on a windy day!! Enjoy! Nikon z9 with a 105 macro lens.

This Juvenile White Ibis just happened to be standing in a bright spot when I made this capture. To the camera nerds I used spot metering off its beak against a dark background which gave me the spot light effect. Nikon Z9 with my 180-600mm lens.

Well I took a little drive around Florida last week. Went to places that I have never been before, found some beautiful wildlife to photograph. Here are a few from some of my travels. The birds in their breeding plumage are just so stunning. And I did find a rare unicorn alligator.... I have lots more that I will be posting as soon as I can finish doing some edits. I will be back down to Florida soon to find more babies.

I didn't make it out Tuesday night to shoot the Aurora, however I did venture out to get some captures last night. It was not as bright as last years, fortunately I was able to grab a couple of decent captures. Best viewed full frame.
