Jackson Hole Day 5: Time to go home... I got going early today, I've actually been getting up super early EVERY day, more on that later...
I really wanted to get a good sunrise in before we left. Its either been cold, rainy or cold & rainy in the morning. Today was just cold. Like eyeballs frozen cold. But off I went, grabbed a cup of coffee and explored behind our cabins a little bit, our resort sure is pretty.
I called my friend Julie as I walked across the street to wait for the sun to peek over the hills. We talked, and talked, and talked... then I got to the point where I couldn't really feel my fingers anymore and decided to head back over across the street and meet my fellow adventurers for breakfast. Today was one of those... "well, the sun is up" kind of days. Nothing spectacular...
Breakfast was however, spectacular. Again. Today they mixed salsa and other things in the eggs and had an assortment of other goodies all delightfully arrayed in delicious fashion.
We checked out of our rooms after breakfast and had a couple hours to grab some cowboy coffee and attempt to see a few more animals before we had to return the car and get our shuttle.
Finally, it's time. The car return went without a hitch and our shuttle guy was waiting for us... A couple bags heavier, we hopped on the bus and quietly enjoyed our ride back to the Jackson Hole airport.
Continuing without a hitch, we were dropped off with our luggage and left to our own devices.
Now we begin with the hitches... always be sure you have your driver's license before you get to the airport... not saying any names... 🧐 Dang cleaning lady...
Only a slight delay though... finally we all made it through security. To find a seat and sit and wait again.
I do love airports though, I love watching the people, everyone has a story, everyone has a destination of some sort. After our next stop in Chicago, we dilly dallied for another five hours, got some reading in, got some walking in, caught a plane back home to Duluth and marked another adventure complete in the books.
