Easter 2026 was wet, relaxing and enjoyable. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Cade’s Cove and this trip didn’t disappoint. There were plenty of deer and turkey to be seen and I was able to capture a rare coyote. This was a much needed trip and I am looking forward to dry weather and longer hiking trips.

Best of 2025

I’ve put together some of the photographs I took this year while visiting, Cades Cove, Foothills Parkway & Gatlinburg. I wasn’t able to go on as many trips as I wanted but that is something I’d like to work on in 2026. None the less, getting out and enjoying the mountains and the wildlife is therapy for the soul.

Gatlinburg Christmas

Spending Christmas in Gatlinburg has been something I’ve wanted to do for some time. The weather was perfect and I had a lot of fun exploring after dark. This was my first time shooting at night as it was a learning process but I feel the pictures came out good. The Christmas lights of Gatlinburg will always be memorial to me from the first time I seen them and it will be a place that will always get me into the festive mood.

Spending Christmas in Gatlinburg to take pictures of the Christmas decorations at night. I went to Cades Cove this morning and the wildlife were out. The car pictures were taken on my phone and with any luck the night shoot will be successful. All the pictures will be posted in the next few days.

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for the animals of Cades Cove. It's always a joy when I'm able to capture the wildlife like this. Relaxation for the soul.
