Reducing the line item doesn’t eliminate the need.

Cost has a way of showing up later.

A camera that fails when footage matters, a claim without clear documentation, or hours lost searching video can wipe out the savings of a smaller surveillance budget. Budget season is the time to weigh those trade-offs before a line-item decision becomes an operational problem.

The number you carry forward now can become the surprise you have to explain later.

Surveillance often gets carried forward as last year's number or whatever is left after larger projects are funded. That may look practical during budget review, but it can create mid-year surprises when cameras fail, footage is needed, or a team loses hours trying to locate an incident.

Predictable budgeting starts with a real number.

A good couple of days across multifamily. Bryan and Jon connected with industry friends at the Southeastern Affordable Housing Management Association (SAHMA) Leadership Conference, while our St. Louis crew hit the lanes for the St. Louis Apartment Association Bowling Social. Not a bad way to spend a couple of days with the multifamily crowd!

Skyler, Logan, Gabriel, Tina, Kathryn, and Marta have joined teams across sales, forensic review, service, finance, and human resources. It’s a wide mix of roles, but each one is an important part of keeping Watchtower moving forward.
