This by far was one of my favorite sessions to do this year! Not just because of how amazing this couple is, but because of the incredible day we had capturing these memories together. Everything felt so easy, natural, and genuine from the very beginning. The laughs, the little moments, the way they looked at each other... nothing felt forced, and that’s what made this session so special.
These are the kinds of sessions that remind me why I love what I do so much. Being able to freeze moments like these in time for such an amazing couple is something I’ll never take for granted!

Wait a minute... it’s not fall!
As you may know, I delay posting galleries to give my clients time to share the memories they hired me to capture. Sometimes that means you’ll see a season that has already passed... but the love this family shares in these photos hasn’t. It only grows stronger with each passing day.
This was such a terrific outing with this amazing family!

Proud to support this play at Spencer-Penn Centre!
There is a hidden gem within MHC hiding right under our noses that many of us have yet to truly discover. For the longest time, that included me.
So what’s this hidden gem?
The incredible talent found in the art of performing on stage.
Over the past year, I’ve started attending some of the local plays here in MHC, and through those experiences, I’ve discovered just how much amazing talent exists right here in our own community. From the acting and singing to the confidence and passion these performers bring to the stage, it’s something truly special to witness.
Next month, I’ll have the honor of sponsoring one of these productions, showcasing many of these incredibly talented individuals. I strongly encourage you to come out on Saturday the 13th or Sunday the 14th to experience it for yourself and support these amazing young performers as they share their hard work and passion with our community.
Supporting local theater is about so much more than just attending a play. It’s about encouraging creativity, building confidence, giving young people a place to express themselves, and showing them that their talents matter. These productions take countless hours of dedication, practice, and teamwork, and the support from the community means more than many people realize.
You may walk in expecting to simply watch a performance, but I have a feeling you’ll leave with a new appreciation for the talent, heart, and passion that exists right here in MHC.

I want to talk about the riseI'm seeing in Granny Flower Girls:
One of the sweetest moments I've had the privilege of witnessing as a wedding photographer is seeing a grandmother step into the role of flower girl.
Not because every wedding needs one, but because when a couple chooses to include their grandmother(s) in this way, it creates such a heartfelt moment.
As photographers, we're constantly looking for those little moments that tell a bigger story. The laughter as she walks down the aisle, the smiles from family members, the pride on her face, and the emotions from the couple...those are the moments that often become some of the most treasured memories from the day.
What I love most is that it's about more than tossing flower petals. It's about celebrating generations. It's about honoring someone who has loved, supported, and helped shape the family long before the wedding day ever arrived.
You can often see it in their eyes, that feeling of being included, appreciated, and part of something so special. And as someone standing behind the camera, it's impossible not to smile while capturing it.
Weddings are filled with beautiful traditions, but sometimes it's the unexpected moments that leave the biggest impression. A grandmother walking down the aisle as a flower girl is one of those moments for me.
It's sweet. It's joyful. It's meaningful.
And every time I get the chance to photograph it, I'm reminded that some of the most beautiful parts of a wedding aren't found in the schedule or the details...they're also found in the people who have been there all along. ❤️

In honor of small business week, I would like to recognize Adam of Daydream Photography. Not only do I choose him as my personal photographer (which done amazing on my sons Graduation photos) I also choose him for all of our business photography skills as well. Anyone that knows him, knows that he truly services many our other local businesses and is an assett to our community. Recently, Adams hard work has not only been paying off, but has gotten the recognition that it deserves. SkyeBright Smile , which opened in 2025, has quickly proven its value within the small business community of Martinsville-Henry County. That success is evident in their recent move to 319 E. Market Street in The City of Martinsville VA as they continue to grow and expand their business.
The inspiration behind Skyebright Smile came after years of strangers complimenting Devan's smile while she worked photo booths at events. Ironically, she had never had her teeth professionally whitened herself. When she finally asked her dentist about whitening options, she was told they couldn't make her teeth any whiter. That conversation sparked a realization: there was a need for this service not only for her, but for our entire community.
Since then, Devan has been helping people find a new level of confidence in their smiles while brightening every room she walks into with her warm personality, kindness, and genuine heart. She has a way of making everyone feel comfortable, welcomed, and valued from the moment they meet her.
One of the things I love most about owning a business and working alongside other local small businesses is getting the opportunity to know the people behind them. Devan is one of those people I've had the privilege of getting to know over the years, and she's become someone whose friendship I truly value.
