Okay, I’m taking full mom bragging rights on this one. ❤️✨

My daughter Jessie came by the studio so Makeup by Mark could practice his craft during one of our Lux Sessions at Jenny Lynn Photography and she absolutely understood the assignment.

We pulled out the “Allure ProFabric” and “Colors Love” backdrops from Click Props Backdrops, turned on some upbeat music, and the whole shoot had such a fun, high-energy vibe from start to finish.

One thing I really appreciate about Mark is how much thought he puts into every detail. He’s incredibly intentional about the products he uses and never cuts corners when it comes to quality. From skincare prep to the final touches, everything is chosen carefully to make his clients look and feel their absolute best — and it shows in his work.

And Jessie? Well… I may be a little biased, but she was the perfect canvas. 🤍

I had SC Studios in my studio this week shooting video content. I took advantage of having my hair and makeup done to grab some new headshots for myself❤️

I used the dramatic “Colors Love” backdrop from Click Backdrops for these new self portraits, and Makeup by Mark was on site making sure we stayed polished and camera-ready all day long.

People always ask me, “Who does your headshots?”

My answer?�“Who else? I do!” 📸

As much as I love being behind the camera, stepping in front of it reminds me exactly how my clients feel — vulnerable, nervous, trying to figure out what to do with their hands, and hoping they look their best. It gives me even more empathy for every person who trusts me to photograph them.

That’s why creating a comfortable, encouraging experience matters just as much to me as creating beautiful images.

Here’s to practicing what I preach… and occasionally turning the camera on myself. ❤️

It is such a privilege to serve as the photography sponsor for the Washington County Commission on Aging Starlight Gala — spending the evening on the stunning campus of Saint James School, capturing candid moments and all the joy that filled the Photo Booth.
